My college Review

Remarks :

I loved my college experience, there were many opportunities or ways to utilize the time in an engineering college. If you are choosing this college, do well in first-year academics, because it will add-up throughout 4 years and I guess 1 and 2 years are mostly easy than 3 and 4.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There is a course curriculum, that will be given to you at the start of the college where each course and their subjects along with holidays are provided very detailedly. The syllabus and the books to study and everything. Be alert in the first few weeks where they will announce a library registration day. So you can collect books.

Placement Experience :

A list of companies and people selected from our department (CSE) JPMC-13 FIDELITY-13 MS- 3 GS-2 APP DYNAMICS-2 AVAYA- 1 SLING MEDIA- 2 ITTIAM-1 SAPIENT-9 UBS-1 MASTERCARD-3 QUANTIPHI-2 BARCLAYS-8 DELOITTE-1 INFOSYS- 2 MAQ- 3 CGI-3 SAMSUNG- 1 AMAZON- 1 ALLSTATE- 1 WELLS FARGO-3 HSBC-1 WIPRO-2 O9-1.

College Events :

Cultural events and sports events are like 3-4 each semester. There will be guests from different places to entertain us. After all, it is college life, do enjoy it. Also during the first few weeks of placement time, do not. I repeat do not skip the college and be very alert and prepared.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Its sem wise, so 8 sems= (tuition fee+ hostel fee) = (39100 + 35000) mode of payment= (sbi online through net banking or Canara bank through check/cash). Yes, there is transparency in the fee- breakdown. You get the receipt for each expense made at the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I didn't opt for any scholarship but there is a scholarship for SC, ST candidates and also I heard about the scholarship for people who got the highest marks in their 12th(i.e 950+ I think). I got 982, but I didn't know at the start so I couldn't do anything. There is an academic building, go there and check whether you are qualified or not. Nobody cares but you should ask and confirm before its too late.

Campus Life :

Awesome lifestyle, the nice campus with so much greenery around. there will be coconut, sugarcane and other juices available inside the campus. I should admit that the canteen is not that great. Regarding sports and other activities, we have two college programs mainly.

Hostel Facilities :

I should say that now they have built a new hostel block for girls. Also increased the hostel fee (45k per sem I guess). The new block is pretty clean and good. Food is good somedays and worst the other days. Try to include some Andhra dishes on the menu by asking JP'S.

Alumni/Alumna :

yes, you can always approach a senior for anything you want to. don't worry even if they are not your friends, do talk to them because after you are done with your college, you will regret not seeking help from your very own seniors. You know there is a saying. If you won't ask, your own mother will not provide you with food. So ask and seek help from your friends and seniors.

Admission :

I have joined in OU college Hyderabad through TS-EAMCET. But after a month I realized there is a spot counselling for NIT'S. soon, I have made a list of few colleges for counselling and then I got into NIT NAGPUR. I was happy to be there. I took advice from my school teacher about the options and application process. I suggest you search online and apply for colleges. Do not trust anyone.

Faculty :

I think we had lectures, many many lectures along with assignments and projects. but, we still lack something. Strong practical skills are needed to succeed in any firm, which is average in our college. I don't expect to have study hours in a BTech college, but a weekly gathering/ doubts session etc. would have been much better.

There are so many companies like TCS, COGNIGENT, WIPRO, etc. Our College gives 95-98% placement in engineering. Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their last year. There are many good companies that come and take part in the placement drives. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini etc. come here for placements. The highest package in my understanding was about 30 lakhs as studied and searched by me. Many students secure packages above 3.5 lakhs in our college. About 90% of students get placed through the drives. My plan is also to take a good job from placement and then do my masters.

Admission:

I got admission through CAP Round as directed by AICTE and DTE, the process is of 3 rounds until you choose a college and finalize it. Admission dates for FE students start from around May-June period as college opens at around 15 July approx. And Students need to bring all documents attested and submit the original 10th- 12th documents in the college and after completing the graduation. He/She can collect the originals from the college after collecting LC from the college.
