I cleared my JEE Mains exam with 210 marks... This colleges is among the top colleges in Maharashtra and it is also near my hometown
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course structure is quite good, VNIT doesn't just focus on knowledge giving but also with practical knowledge. Students are always welcomed with new ideas and professors encourage them to go deep in there interested topic and come up with new research..
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, college provides internship for both college students and students of other college. Stipend depends on the internship which students are persuing. Stipend is very less but experience matters here and it can be minimum 5000rs.
Placement Experience :
About 80% of students gets placed and almost 10-15 companies comes for each department. Package given by the companies varries from 5lakh to 23lakh. Highest package last year was give by Amazon for CS students with package 23lakh and also mechanical students hav highest packages. Avg package in our college is 10-14. Every branch students are placed starting form mining department to Civil department.
College Events :
AXIS-Central India's largest tech fest is held in our college, many events and competition are taken in the tech fest. Many workshops are held at AXIS. Next event is culture fest- AAROHI, which hav dance, drama, singing,band etc competition and every year they arrange a program or conserts by famous people in the college. This all activities are all done by students of our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is feasible. For every semester each student hav to pay around 21000rs. Means 45000 per year is the college fees which involves every fees in the same structure. We don't find the fees expensive. Although being a central Government college, fees is feasible
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship and free ships are given under some cases to students which fits in the scholarship rules.
Campus Life :
Extra activities are also there like sports and cultural competition among the departments. Every students are giving participation in the events. Every student have chance to prove them in ter extra curricular activity. Gender ration is almost equal now.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel of our college are too good n best. Every student is allotted with single room after there 1st year, and 1st year are given a room partners so that they should not feel homesick or unsecured staying alone in new place. Mess food is way good, they give us morning refreshing breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. Healthy diet for students is given as instructed by our college doctor. Every day milk is provided before sleep and non veg n veg stalls are there twice in week.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is very nice, every year there is a alumni meet held in the college and students get to know about there experience. Senior are to helpful and supportive, they are always there for help.
Exam Structure :
Exams is totally depend on your knowledge n practicals. Exams are always hard for we people but this increases our knowledge. Labs was not hectic, for every week, 3-4 labs were held and labs were always interesting for students to known about new things and activity were performed by everyone present in lab. It was never hectic for us.
Admission :
I applied for the process of allotment held by NITs and my 1st preference of the VNIT itself... Process was too simple, and i was allotted with different field first, i got chemical engineering first and then i kept my admission on upgrade n then i was upgraded with civil engineering which was needed...
Faculty :
Every faculty has done phd in there topics which they teach to students. Many of them have many research papers and many of them are involved in many government projects too ( government projects are approved by the professor of our college). Conference are held by them all around.
