Remarks :

my review of the college is both positive as well as negative. i really like the atmosphere, there is a very good social interaction with people of different background. the negative of it was the fees mainly, so middle class family students should think before admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our curriculum was good but this year it changed and the college needs to adopt with the changes made. The students should be aware of the subjects though and should only come if they are interested in this subject.

Placement Experience :

yes college provide internship from their side. most of them are often paid, but there is chances of unpaid internship in the beginning of the course. also the placement of certain course as in technology, management is really good but always changes with the year.

College Events :

there are a lot of culteral eventa happening throughout the year, most of which are organised by the student union themselves. the events are very disciplined. Then there are inter-college events which happens once a year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

expensive, but there are often scholarships available from the college as well as from government. but it should be noted that the fee is high per semester and goes on increasing each and every year by 10%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

personally i didn't got a scholarship, but one of my juniors got one and it was from college itself. the percentage of the scholarship was 25%, 50%, and 75% of the total semester fee. there is a small screening process which is basically a personal interview.

Campus Life :

there are different types of labs according to the subjects, also there are very extracurricular activities specially in the form of assignments which are given throughout the year and obviously it is marked.

Hostel Facilities :

there is a hostel inside the campus but its for girls only, boys have to live in around college in paying guests or rent appartment in the nearby colonies. the girs hostel is not so good with just only lodging facility and no other thing.

External Expense : Rs. 7000 - Rs. 10000

Alumni/Alumna :

the alumni network of NIFT is really good. with it one of the most renounced institute with a good history, any big fashion institution be it a industry or design house, a nift alumni is a must see. and people are very much connected over social media.

Admission :

The admission process started with a all India entrance exam which generally happen in the last week of January. For each and every stream there is a different question paper which comprise of aptitude questions, numerical, subject based etc. this exam paper was of a total marks of 150 and the allotted time was 2 hrs. This exam was followed by a group discussion and a personal interview.

Faculty :

the senior faculty are really good. I can only talk about my stream and NIFT,Delhi has a very good faculty. there is a central co-coordinator each and every subject who are always helpful. but look out for attendance.

MY LIFE AT NIFT

Placement Experience:

from the second last semester, students start getting placed. landmark, Nike, puma, Adidas, and almost 70% placement, the highest package is 10lac. and the average is 4-5lac. 70% of students are being placed. Job in the fashion industry.

Life at Nift

Admission:

Through the process of GD and PI. There was an entrance exam conducted first. After which students were shortlisted according to the cutoff marks and then called for the process of GD PI. After which the students were called for counseling and got the Nift campus according to their merit rank.

Placement Experience:

The placements and job opportunities are quite good. All the high and known brands and companies visit the college for their recruitment process. We are given the freedom to work or intern in any area of our interest in the fashion industry which is what I appreciate.
