Remarks :
Overall the rating of college is really high. Competition to get into the college is severe. There is scope of improvement though. But college is focussing on it and in near future the institute will be in top premier institutes of country.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is better than most of the regional colleges. It is deep for many subjects. It is useful for competitive exams like GATE. Exam structure is simple too. There are 2 sesssionals of 15 marks each. 10 marks are of internal exam which could be given based upon attendance or assignment. End semester is of 60 marks.
Placement Experience :
Placements are satisfactory. Last year nearly 110 companies visited college. Some departments like CSE and ECE top the placements with placement percentage nearing to 90%. Other departments also have ample amount of opportunities as lot of management companies offers a handsome package to students. The major area where placements happen is IT sector. Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy and Electrical are departments who suffer low percentage in placements. Architecture is the department with lowest placements percentage.

Fee Structure And Facilities :
It is slightly high. Lot of scholarships are available though. One can get total remission of fees if his family income is below 1 lac per year. The fees for the year is around 1.25 lacs. Hostel fees are definitely high if compared to other NITs. They are touching nearly 1 lac per year for freshers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is fee remission facility available. It takes care of the total fees you pay to the institute. The condition to avail this scholarship is that your parents' income should be less than 1 lac per year.
Campus Life :
Institute has a spacious ground and sports complex. Advanced sports kit and tools are available. Labs are not that modern and not that old. You will find most of the material required in labs. Extracurricular activities is the backbone of the institution. On an average of 1 fest/2 weeks college is heading.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes. Hostel facilities are good. The number of hostels is high. Everyone who gets admission to the institution will get hostel if he wants to. Drinking water is available on every floor. Cleanliness is satisfactory. Basic facilities like toilets, bathrooms, gysers are available and satisfactory.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is strong. They often visit and help the students through seminars or some help to the institution. Recent help from them was 3 electric vans have been gifted to institute for travel of students within campus.
Admission :
Admission is based on the AIR you get in JEE mains examination. At our time there was 40% weightage given to board exams too. Now its totally based on your jee score. Then one has to go through JOSSA counselling. The process is smooth and easy to understand.
Faculty :
Faculty is experienced. They have thorough knowledge of subjects. But there are some departments which lack in experience. Maths is one of them. New staff is recruited in this department. They don't have that much knowledge and are unable to deliever their ideas. The overall teaching is fine though.
