One of the best college in Maharashtra, Pune. I had admission letter of IIT, Chennai. But still I selected this college over IIT.

Entrance Preview :

I took GATE 2004 entrance exam and Scored: 98.57%. All India Rank: 32.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, for MTech college provides stipend. In 2004 the stipend was Rs 6300 per month. Now I think it's increased to between 9000 to 12000 Rs per month.

Placement for COEP is best in Maharashtra region

College Events :

College celebrates so many social events conducted in college like boating, cultural events, robotics, etc.

In 2004 the fees was just Rs 25,000 per annum

Campus Life :

Best events in whole Maharashtra happens in COEP. Best facility for boating available in-house.

Hostel Facilities :

College hostel is not available for Masters program, it's only for bachelors program. Rent in the college area is about 15,000 to 20,000 for a 2 BHK which can be shared by 4 to 5 students.

Best faculty in Pune, Maharashtra is available in this college.

After the 1st year in 3rd semester you are eligible for placement. In 3nd semester you are eligible for internship also. Almost 98% student are placed this year with package 7.5 lac per annum. Heights package was 14 lpa and lowest was 6 lpa. All are placed in core company.

Admission:

Admission happens through the gate exam merit list. the gate is an exam conducted by old IITs each year. where around 8 lac students appear for the exam out of which only 16% could clear the exam. in that most, top ranks get admission in IIT through the gate. top 1% of all people who give exams mostly get admitted in the IIT Bombay.
