This college is a very good place for learning where students find it very easy to reach any faculty member for clearing the doubts.

The course curriculum is very relevant to the research topic and gives a good insight into the topics for research. the course work is very relevant also in terms of research. the course work also plays a very vital role in understanding the various techniques to be used to understand the research work.

SMIT offers very good placement to UG and PG level students where companies from different domains recruit students with good package. the average package offered is in the range of two lakhs.

Sikkim Manipal institutes of technology conduct central cultural event every year in the month of March. Apart from this, all the streams conduct the departmental level fest on various occasions. both cultural and technical events are conducted where students from various institutes participate.

For PhD, the course fee is 15000 per year for internal candidates and 25000 per year for external candidates. during registration, the registration fees are 5000 for internal candidates and 10000 for external candidates. the fee structure for B. Tech students varies and can be checked from the official website.

For M. Tech and PhD students the provision for scholarships is available in the form of stipend through external projects. however the 1b. tech students are eligible to get the scholarships based on their class 12th marks in physics, chemistry and Maths.

The campus is situated in Majitar Rangpo and has a very pleasant environment. various types of extracurricular activities are carried out in the regular interval, the labs are having a very good infrastructure where students are allowed to do various lab activities related to their academics.

SMIT holds a very good alumni network and conducts alumni meets every year in the institute. here passed out students are invited to attend the alumni meet and a strong interaction session is fixed with the ongoing g students and alumni.

SMIT offers both UG and PG courses in different streams. Here the admission process is very smooth and transparent for both UG and PG courses. for UG courses students can get admission by appearing in various national as well as institute level exams. However, for PG admission departmental level exams are conducted along with the interview.

Faculty members in SMIT are very helpful and approachable. the teaching process adopted by faculty members are very innovative and updated which helps the students to deal with the current advancement in their respective topics. SMIT also offers a TG scheme where a group of students will be monitored by the faculty members.
