Remarks :

Positive remarks: College provides very good opportunities in different research fields. Many student bodies are available which enhances us to gain leadership skills. Negative remarks: Placement opportunities for few departments are not upto the mark. More Resources should be provided.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum of our college is very flexible for students. It provides enough time and encourages students for self-learning and skill development. Several labs are there in the curriculum. Exams like End-semester examinations, Mid-semester examinations, several quizzes and surprise tests are taken each semester.

Placement Experience :

Placements and job opportunities are different for different branches. Departments like Mechanical, Civil, Chemical are not having very good placements whereas departments like Computer Science, Electrical are having very good placements. Our college offers various internships in different fields of research. I am not doing any internship yet. So I don't know about stipend provided.

College Events :

Zeitgeist (Annual college cultural fest) Advitiya (Annual inter-college Technical fest) Aarohan (Annual inter-college sports fest) Quintessence (Annual intra-college Technical fest) Fresco Farewell party and different religious celebrations like diwali, lohdi, ganesh chathurthi, holi, janmashtami, independance day, republic day, gandhi jayanthi etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is moderate. College provides fee waiver for students who require it and fee waiver varies according to their economical background. Those students who are economically very poor are exempted from tuition fee and need to borne only accomodation and mess charges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Institute provides very good fee waiver and along with that several scholarships Merit-cum-Member(MCM) scholarship etc. are provided to those students who are eligible for scholarships. And loan facilities are also available by bank in institute for low interest rate.

Campus Life :

There are several clubs for extracurricular activities like Dance club, Arturo(photography club), Undekha(dramatics club), Vibgyor(fine arts club), Monochrome club(photoshop), Alankar(music club) etc. For technical, Coding club, Robotics club, CIM club, Automotive club, Aeromodelling club, Zenith club(astronomy), Enigma(quizzing club), FinCom club etc. Sports are Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Tennis, Badminton, Athletics, Table Tennis, Chess.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes. The alumni network are pretty helpful. They help us by sharing their college experience which helps us to tackle different problems we face during student phase. Most importantly they share their current industrial experience and atmosphere outside the college and realizes us about various fields and career opportunities.

Admission :

I have appeared for JEE MAINS 2018 and qualified for JEE ADVANCED 2018. And after qualifying in JEE ADVANCED 2018, I have gone through seat allocation counseling by JOSAA 2018. And then I got admission into this college.

Faculty :

Our college is facilitated by highly skilled and highly qualified faculty. The faculty available have degrees from several top class world universities and have several years of teaching experience. They guide students towards very successful career and respond immediately to any student issues.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was doing bachelor of Technology in computer science. Starting from the classroom to the computer labs , everything is available and well maintained. You learn programming and languages with the help of faculty and for every student there is computer available with all equipments. In a week, there are 3 days of computer lab practice and 3 days for classwork. The professor tests and skills very often and if there is any inefficiency , he/she will help you to correct it. The curriculum at Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology is thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive education that balances theoretical foundations with practical applications. Placement Experience:

In- campus placement is not that good it is below average as they have taken way too many admissions their placements are not even to rely on they dont provide with good companies coming for selection average placement in CSE in 3-4 lpa they focus on theoretical knowledge more than the practical knowledge so no students are ready for the placement criterias and at last they fail as predicted

SLIET: A Modern Gurukul

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem for the degree and 6th for the diploma and 4th sem for the Mtech Students. Placements are about average and this year 2023 the placement ratio is growing faster and about 70 percent of the students from each branch got at least an average package. 20LPA is the highest in the history of SLIET offered by Microsoft. I have already been placed in HCL and Cognizant-like MNCs. So focus on the only job now.

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. No of the companies visited in the CSE branch is unlimited and each company provide all type of packages starting from 3 lakhs to 20 lakhs. The highest offer provided is 30 lakhs by amazon.95% of students get placements in CSE. I want to do a job after getting the degree so I will get placement from LPU

My review

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Chitkara. The placement procedure starts in the 6th semester of our college and goes until you are graduated (8th semester). Need to mention that Chitkara holds a record of 100% placement. Every student gets placed here. Companies offer anything between 3lpa - 12lpa. But you need to study a bit for getting placed. Note that college cannot force a company to recruit students. Companies recruit based on tests and interviews that they conduct. My plans after getting a degree will be to work for the company I've been placed in.
