Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is same like other engineering college in the first years including subjects like physics, chemistry, electronic, etc.. But it generally doesn't requires in specific areas For CSE coding is required at the time of placement which helps to cracks coding round so much foucus on course based subjects will be good.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies includes paypal, microsoft, Atlassion provide internship with 1.5L per month For 6 month. The projects includes software development, database management systems development. They also provide full time job based on yours skills and working during internship time.
Placement Experience :
From 2nd years you can apply for different internship as well as in campus internships. Beside during 3rd year many companies come to recruit students. In CSE the average is around 17.5L And highest goes up to 58L pa. Top recruiter are tata, Microsoft, amazon etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for the B.tech in Computer science and Engineering(CSE) program at Birla institute of technology(BIT) mesra for general category students in 2024 is approximately 22 lakh for the full four year course. Campus Life :
The classroom are well maintained fully furnished including projector, ACs digital boards, etc.. The library here including all the old as well as latest books which opens everyday with diverse timings. The main technical fest here is pantheon which is 3 day fest and organised in October. Main fest includes BITOTSAV which is in march.
Hostel Facilities :
In bachelor course u have to live in hostel mandatory. For phd students u have options for pg and all. Internet, drinking water ,mess , canteen everything is inside hostel only. Also the meal here is good not compare to home but tasty compare to other college hostels
Admission :
As a student everyone wish for IITs but due to own lack of hardworks it is failed but this college is also good enough for your career. As it helps to develop skills. Also providing path for startup plans helping investment as all. It placement datas also attracts many students so one of the best colleges for engineering
Faculty :
There are generally 4 exam per semester which includes quiz 1 and 2, Mid sem and end sem. From 2024 the marking scheme is relative so little easy for students to score good cgpa. Generally most staffs and faculty members are nice to students and helpful. But some faculty members are strict in Labs providing lesser marks compared to other members.
Interview Experience :
No as a fresher i have not got the chance for this but what i learn from the senior there is good chance They get to know about gsoc and icpc The top coder this year has a good rating of 1600 on codeforces.
Night Life :
Canteens areas are opens. Dispensary is open 24/7 so health facilities is no problem here. Gym and sports areas are generally closed in night time beside speciaal sports tournament is organising The girls hostels gate usually closes at 9 pm and boys hostel around 10 pm so after that u are required to stay within hostel complex. Best hangout inside college is rocketry department and BIT park as well as many river side views.
