Remarks :
Our administration is very strict regarding any kind of mischievous activities. And it has stringent policies which are enforced whenever needed. Ragging is strictly prohibited. Inside the campus you get no soft drinks.And motorized vehicles are not allowed for students inside the campus.They need to use bicycle.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is approved by AICTE. From 2018 the syllabus have been updated with new subjects like Indian Constitution, Economics. The main emphasis has been on practical learning, Industry adaptation. Many of the departments have got NBA accredition. Exam pattern is a continuous evaluation process. Two unit tests,One mid-term,one End -term exams. Grades are evaluated on the basis of marks where all the exams carry equal weightage. Marks 25,25,40,60 total 150. If a subject has lab exam then extra 50 will be added summing the total to 200.
Placement Experience :
Yes, there are lots of placements and job opportunities if you possess some minimum qualifications. Companies like OIL,Powergrid,TCS,INFOSYS, WIPRO , Amazon have visited the campus and recruited people with handsome packages. Yes,our college provide internship but for that you will have to apply separately.Notices are published in the University website regarding internship. But applying process is mostly offline. Experience will be definitely good.Green campus, great infrastructure,experienced faculties all are at the same place.
College Events :
Many cultural events like Unplugged, Drama etc. Seminars of both national and international importance are held here. In addition to this, National Science Day, Astronomy Day are celebrated here. There are lots of events left.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Yes,it is noth that much expensive. You need to pay 2 lakh rupees for B.Tech course and even You can also pursue MBA here at a very low cost. In addition to the admission fees per semester,you will have to 1700 in the hostel for mess food per month.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes,the you can avail scholarship through the NSP if eligible. The process is transparent and the money is directly sent to the students' accounts. The PhD scholars get some stripend monthly. Students from Basic science can avail the scholarship from DST Inspire. There are lots of other scholarship available.
Campus Life :
The class schedule is very hectic. Starting from morning at 9.10 to 5.30 in the evening classes are held. After 5.30 you can come to the playground. There are lots of sports facilities like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball are available. You can also go to students' activity centre and play musical instruments. There is also a Swimming pool adjacent to the playground. You can get the training there.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes,there are 7 Boys and 8 Girls hostel. It is a residential campus with an area of around 200 acres of land. More than 5000 people live here. I reside in Kanchunjungha Men's Hostel. It was established in 2009. Yes, infrastructure is too good. Generally,rooms are two -seater with two beds,two wardrobes,two shelf,two tables,two chair,one fan, uninterrupted power supply and fine wifi.You can enjoy your life here.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, alumni meet is held and there is going to an alumni portal. Many of the passed out students are in reputed institutions or jobs now. One alumni from dept of Electronics and Communication was also in the Chandrayan-2 mission.
Admission :
I got admitted into B.Tech course through JEE Mains 2017 conducted by CBSE. Admission is purely based on merit. 60% seats are reserved for North -East quota. The rest seats are filled up through JOSAA.
Faculty :
Our faculties are highly qualified. Most of them are from IITs and reputed Engineering colleges. They have a very good link to International Institution like MIT , Cambridge University. Teaching methodology is also far better
