IGIT Sarang is a autonomous college.and it ranked 3rd in odisha.faculties are really good in this college.students can get opportunities to do some extra curricular activities.internship facilities are also there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelor of Technology is a 4 years course.total number of semesters will be 8 and per semester there will be 2 internal exams.Internal exam Mark's will also be calculated in semester.So you need to appear in all the exams.
Placement Experience :
Placemats and job opportunities are good for computer science and engineering students.But they allow every branch to sit in IT companies campus recruitment.apart from IT companies some core companies are also coming for recruitment.
College Events :
Horizon Technovation Vistaar Cosmito These are some of the fests conducted in the college.Horizon is for everyone. And others are some branch fests conducted by different branches.every branch is having their own fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Feasible Core branches like mechanical civil electrical, fees structure is feasible.It's around 33k per year.For Computer science and engineering and electronics and telecommunications engineering the fees is little high as these branches are self financing.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
A lot of scholarships are offered.Prerana scholarship is offered for the students from OBC ST SC categories. A sum around 70k is offered to SC ST and 12k to OBC.medhabruti is also offered to the students of odisha securing 60 and above percentage in +2.
Campus Life :
Lab sessions are there every day that is 6 days in a week.labs are well maintained with all the necessary equipments.sports activities are also conducted in college.utsahan is one of the biggest sports meet celebrated in the college.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I opted for hostel.Hostel infrastructure is good for girls in prithvi bhawan but not that good in rohini bhawan.Fooding in hostel is good.they have some menu set for every day.menus can changed every month or every semester.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes ,the college is conducting alumi meet. They have their own alumni forum where they post everything about the current activities of the college. They also invite their alumni to the functions conducted in college.
Admission :
First I appeared for joint entrance examination and after that applied for Odisha joint entrance examination.In OJEE seats will be allocated according to the merit list and choice filling.once choice filling and locking is done admission dates will be out in college websites.
Faculty :
Faculties are very supportive.most of the faculties are from IITs.they give the proper guidance in studies as well as other career decisions.every student is allocated to particular professor as their mentors.
