The Mathematics department of NIT Jamshedpur offers premium education in the field of Mathematics. It provides several courses like 

  • MSc Mathematics hons.(pure & applied) 
  • PhD program (part & full time).

The department has around 12 highly qualified permanent faculty most of them being Ph.D. holders with a good knack for research knowledge. The faculty members are amicable and students can often be seen playing cricket with them on weekends.
