NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2024 has been concluded. However, the official NIT Jamshedpur Placement 2024 Report has not been released yet. As per the previous year trend, NIT Jamshedpur Placements concluded with 98.87% placements.
NIT Jamshedpur Placements recorded the highest package of INR 83 LPA whereas the average package stood at INR 15.98 LPA. There were 250+ top recruiters and 90+ new recruiters at the NIT Jamshedpur Placements with a total of 750+ job offers. Out of all the branches in the institute, CSE average package was the highest with INR 26.63 LPA. 37.4% Students secured packages between INR 10 - 20 LPA. Some of the top recruiters included Alstom, Tata Motors, KPMG, Adobe, Amazon, Genpact, ICICI Bank etc. According to a media report, M.Tech students for batch 2023 secured the highest package at INR 11.70 LPA.

- It has a wonderful placement. And this wonderful placement is the main centre of attraction for students in this college.
Dislikes
- There is a lot of place in the college which is not utilizes i.e either it is just vacant or jungle type.
Placement Experience:
Almost all the students of NIT Jamshedpur are placed irrespective of their branch. Coming to Civil branch the placement percentage is above 95 percent. And the average package is around 9 lpa. So in terms of placement NIT Jamshedpur is among one of the best NITs of India.

- I love the campus of my college. It has a big campus for students.The campus also very well organised.
- The faculty of my department is very appreciable.They are very helpful in case of academic problem.
Dislikes
- The mess food is very bad. The weather of the city is very hard to tolerate specifically in summer.
- The transportation services near the college is very poor. Hardly any food stall has been found around the college.
Placement Experience:
Placement is very impressive in this college. It has approx 98% placement rate. Campus placement is available in this college most of the students are placed in campus placement. If any student didn't get campus placement they get many opportunities by college to get an off campus placement.

- The campus life is not very great but is quite good in its own way. The hostel life is quite mazing and the presence of various clubs in the college makes it even great.
- The faculties are great with amazing teaching qualities, the course curriculum though being amazing is completed properly within the semester schedule.

- The campus life could have been more safe and engaging. The campus being open is a huge setback to the environment of the campus.
- The infrastructure needs a huge development. Currently, it could be said to have an average infra and has a huge scope for further developments.

Eligibilty for placements- After the 6th semester. Mpre than 200 companies visit the campus, e.g. Atlassian, Amazon, TATA Steel, TATA Motors, etc. Highest package in Production and Industrial Engg is about 16 lpa. For circuital branches it is 83 lpa. Average package is 8 lpa (pie branch) and 12 lpa (overall). Percentage of placemt has ben around 95%.

- Hostels infrastructure is quite good and better than majority of the nits .
- Many clubs are there like sports club (cricket ,badminton ,chess, volleyball, tt, tennis , football etc) Cultural clubs , NSS, coding club , technical club, photography club and many more you will love to explore all the clubs and their seniors.

- Mess food is quite below avg. So do majority of the colleges so that's a given thing in engineering colleges.
- You have to greet your seniors and always use sir/mam which sometimes is quite irritating.

After 6th sem students start applying for placements. The average package offered was 12.63 lpa this year due to recession in job market. The avg for my branch i.e production and industrial engineering was 8.26 lpa . Avg for cs was 20.24 lpa and the highest package offered was 82 lpa . Total 260+ companies visited college offering 725+ jobs .

- One thing is that the infrastructure of nit jamshedpur is not that much developed although new building are in a continue process.
- There is not much place to explore in the college because of infrastructure. One have to go outside the campus for buying anything.

Nit jamshedpur is famous mainly for its placement records. one can easily see the placement data in the official site . Front the second year onwards (5th sem) students are eligible for internship and in 4 th year student get placed in different companies. Companies like Deloitte, Bajaj, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits in our college as recruiter. The Highest package of this year is 83 lpa and the average package is around 10 lpa . 99% of students get placed each year approximately. After my degree I think of to clear Gate exam and placed in ONGC and in B option I also do my coding work to get placed .

- The infrastructure is not tha good, the labs and library are very old. There is no big auditorium in the campus.
- The library is not open in the night after 9 pm the library gets closed.

Some big tech giants like atlassian, amazon, salesforce, adobe, microsoft visits our campus for placements. The highest and average package is 83lpa and 15lpa respectively and placement percentage is around 98% and mainly students gets sde role. I am also preparing for sde roles .

Campus placement are better relative to other NIT wit approx 97 percent overall placement and approx 99 percent or above in mechanical branch with approx an average of 10 to 11 lpa. From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Several top companies of core and non core are visiting our college campus like atlassian, Deloitte, Tata steel, Tata motors and other Tata groups, JSW groups, L and T, other analytics and consultant companies with decent package and No. Of offer are like that ki each student can have atleast 1 or 2 placement. Highest package in our college is 83 lpa by atlassian and average package of the college is 11 lpa overall. Approx 97 percent placement in our college in totality. Mechanical is having approx 100 percent placement scene with avg of 11 lpa. Plan of mine after placement is to join better company to start professional carrier.

The college placement of year 2024 is good in comparison of other colleges. It is 92 to 93 % . And in branch computer science it is 93%. In electrical engineering it is 92% in electronic and communication it is 91% and in civil engineering it is 90% for metallurgy it is 100% . From the Analytics domain, this list includes ZS, MU Sigma, EXL, etc. The department students are placed in each of these domains in a good number, each year. Last year, the placement percentage for B.Tech ECE was 100%. The highest package for this branch was 83.4 LPA, and the average package was 22.03 LPA.

One can expect very high packages in these branches when studying at top rated institutes like the old IITs and BITS Pilani.
L&T, St.Gobain, Bridge and Roof Corp, Vedanta and ECC offer decent packages to B.Tech Civil students. Most analytics firms allow Civil students to sit for placements, and offer decent packages as well. Capgemini is among the IT firms which allow Civil students, and offer decent packages. BPCL offers comparatively high packages, but allows only top 5 students to apply. JUSCO visits every 2-3 years and offers high packages.
Last year, 97.29% students were successfully placed from B.Tech Civil during NIT Jamshedpur placements. The highest package for the branch was 20 LPA, and the average package was 9.57 LPA.

This is an inspiring placement story of one of my seniors from B.Tech CSE at NIT Jamshedpur. He is a dedicated, talented, and hardworking person.
In 2015, Amazon visited the campus to recruit interns. This senior of mine applied for the internship, along with others in the department. He cleared the written round and the 1st technical interview. But he failed to clear the 2nd technical interview. So he was not among the 5 students who secured the intern position.
A year later, Amazon visited again with a full-time software development engineer position. This time the guy was determined to crack the test. He was one of the only 2 students who cleared the written round and 4 technical interviews. So this time, he secured the position at Amazon.
Amazon offers one of the highest packages at NIT Jamshedpur. This guy cleared its difficult test against all odds. He cleared the test in 2016, and joined the company precisely one year later, after completing his B.Tech.
This guy enrolled at NIT Jamshedpur in 2013. His roll number contained the number 13, and so did his hostel room number. It feels like 13 is his lucky number after all!
How good is metallurgy in NIT Jamshedpur in terms of placement?
NIT Jamshedpur is a tier- 3 Indian Engineering College and it fairs well compared to some other NITs like Raipur, Durgapur, Jaipur in terms of placements of Metallurgical branch students.
