The branch-change statistics vary for each department.

CSE: The Cutoff for CSE is around 9.8. Around 8 students are allowed to transfer into CSE m, the total strength of which is 80.
ECE/MnC: The cutoff for ECE is slightly lesser than CS around 9.2 to 9.4 and the same is the case with MnC
EE: The cutoff for EEE is around 8.8 followed by Mechanical which is around 8.5.

Most importantly, you need to be in the top ten percentile of the class. Overall, CS is the hardest department to get transferred to.
