All the aforementioned institutes, DTU, BITS, NSIT, and IIIT Delhi are excellent colleges that are well-recognized in the tech sector. As a whole the curriculum and placement opportunities for CS offered by these colleges are quite similar. The average package varies slightly but the individual differences compensate for that. Here is a comparative analysis of the placement statistics of these colleges

However, if you look from the angle of research , IIIT Delhi certainly is way ahead than the other colleges. Its research-oriented institute is primarily established to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of CS. While BITS Pilani also has a decent research culture, DTU, and NSUT are nowhere near IIIT Delhi in terms of research. IIIT Delhi students have a lot of projects to work on under highly learned and passionate faculties. The exposure these students receive is unmatched and they are offered excellent opportunities in terms of both in industry and for higher education.

So if you want both excellent placements and research opportunities go for IIIT Delhi but if you want a good campus life too that is less focused on research go for BITS Pilani.

In terms of placements, DTU, BITS, and NSIT offer excellent opportunities, especially for Computer Science related branches. If you maintain a decent academic record, it’s easy to get a package of above INR 8 LPA, through the campus drive of DTU, NSIT, for branches like COE, Software Engineering, and IT.

Here are the highlights of CSE placements at these institutes.

But if you are interested in pursuing research IIIT Delhi CSE is better than DTU, BITS, and NSIT.

In terms of placements DTU, BITS, NSIT are ahead of IIIT Delhi, however, the research opportunities are more at IIIT Delhi than the other institutes.

According to the placement statistics of Delhi Technological University (DTU), B.Tech students received a total of 1195 placement offers from 323 recruiting companies for the academic year 2019. The average package was 11.7 LPA and the highest package was around 1.02 Crore per annum. CSE and IT were the departments with the highest placement rate.

In 2019, 142 students out of 173 students who registered for the placement drive got placement offers at BITS. The total placement rate was 82.08%. The average package offered was around 14.86 LPA and the highest package was 44 LPA.

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) successfully placed 640 students in 172 organizations in the academic year 2019. The average CTC was 7 LPA and the highest CTC was 1.25 Crore per annum. The recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, etc.

IIIT Delhi is comparatively a new institute (established in 2008). Top recruiters at the institute are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Snapdeal, etc. In 2019 placements the average salary offered was 16.06 LPA. The highest package for domestic and international job offers was INR 39 LPA and INR 40.72 LPA, respectively.CSE department got the most placements.

IIIT Delhi is a research-driven institute and the faculties of the institute have their PhDs from premier institutes like UCLA, IITs, IISc, etc. Many undergraduates of the institute had their research papers published at international conferences.

Thus DTU, NSIT, has excellent placement, especially for the CSE department. BITS has an average and decent placement record. IIIT Delhi is best for research opportunities among all the institutes mentioned above.
