• E & ICT Academy (A Joint Initiative by MeitY & IIT Roorkee)

Through online courses, IIT Roorkee aims to provide quality education to global students who cannot access in-class learning. These courses are flexible and can be completed as per the student's liking. The E-Learning Centre (ELC) of IIT Roorkee is responsible for creating and maintaining the online courses. It offers a total of 970 courses through departments like. 235 new courses were added recently. 

These courses are offered two times a year - January to April and July to October. Students are also provided with a certificate upon the completion of the course. They have to pay INR 1,000 for the certificate.

The centre also provides faculty development programs and conducts NPTEL workshops in different colleges across the country.
