FORE School of Management
- There are a variety of internship roles that get offered to the students. It includes Consulting, Market Research, Sales, Business Development, Pre-Sales, and others.
- The big corporations that visit the campus for SIP (summer internship project) are E&Y, Deloitte, United Biscuits, United Breweries, Maruti Suzuki, Genpact, Expedia, IDBI, and more. These companies pay a lucrative stipend to the students.
- FORE provides a bunch of opportunities to the students sitting for SIP.
Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management
- The SIPs are in BFSI, Research & Consultancy, Engineering & Durables, E-Commerce, FMCG, IT/ITES, and Others. Out of these, Research & Consultancy placed the maximum students (29% of the batch).
- The average stipend offered is 19,500/month while the highest is 96,000/month.
- There are over 150 companies that come for SIP placements. The new recruiters were Mahindra Finance, L&T Finance, Bajaj Capital, ONGC, Google, HPCL, ABC Consultants, Chegg, Mazars, and others.
In both institutes, the SIP Placement scenario is similar. For selecting the students, companies follow the steps: Resume-Shortlisting, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

I am an alumnus of NIT Surathkal. NITK offers internships during the summers. These are on campus research internships, based on your area of interest. However, it is solely upon the professor's guide to accept or reject your application.

These internships can turn into full-time employment through PPOs. NITK students can also intern at foreign universities. This is because NITK has various MOUs with foreign educational institutes.

How good is the internship experience at GIPEDI, IIT Delhi?
One of my friends recently completed the GIPEDI internship offered at IIT Delhi. She got immense exposure to image processing and Machine learning in health care. She had to work on MRI image segmentation using machine learning. The entire work was research-based and she was assisted by a Ph.D. scholar.
She told me that the best part was that even after completing her internship she met in touch with her mentors and worked together. This helped her get a few good-quality publications.
Unlike what is mentioned on the website, no soft skills are considered during the internship. She expected to get a project in the CS department owing to her background in the same domain, but she was sent to the Electrical department instead. A new project irrelevant to your stream is assigned to you during this internship. Moreover, there are no accommodation facilities provided for such interns.

You can get a summer internship at IIT Delhi in 2 possible ways:
Applying to the Summer Research Fellowship: This is usually for non-IIT students who wish to do an internship with IIT and also has a fixed stipend. However, I have no knowledge about the ML domain specifically.
Looking for professors that work on topics that interest you: Once you have found a professor whose work aligns with your area of interest, contact him through the mail. Tell him about your interest and your knowledge of that topic. However, working under a professor requires constant approaches and you won’t be able to contact him in the first go.
How do I apply for the executive MBA in technology management from IIT Delhi? Can we do executive MBA from IIT Delhi while working?
MBA Executive program is for working professionals who are willing to expand their knowledge and skills base through managerial knowledge. And yes, you can do an Executive MBA from IIT Delhi while working because the timings are 6-15 onwards that match with most office timings.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy, B.sc Agriculture Engineering (Minimum 4 years after 10+2)
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Physical, Chemical, or Mathematical Science like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, or Electronic Science.
- A Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate OR 6 CGPA on a 10-point scale OR equivalent in the above programs is required
- A relaxation of 5% in marks or equivalent in CGPA for reserved category candidates. (55% or 5.5 CGPA)

- The candidates are required to apply online with an online payment of INR 2,500 towards application fees.

Written Test: For final screening, Computer-based Written tests, Group Discussions, and Personal Interviews are conducted by IIT Delhi.

Whether or not you get to intern at Microsoft through campus recruitment depends upon your branch. At NIT Trichy, companies visit during placement season to hire students who are at the start of their third year.
Companies like Microsoft, Uber, and Amazon take interns from the CSE branch. Overall, CSE students get more internship opportunities than other branches during campus recruitment.
Do I get enough time to do an internship between semesters while pursuing Mtech CS at ISI Kolkata? Or can I do an internship while studying during 1 year at ISI Kolkata?
Yes, ISI Kolkata MTech CS coursework include an internship. You need to do an internship in industry or in academia, during the summer after your first year. There are three types of internships.
Industry Internship - Companies recruiting through ISI Kolkata placements, also select interns. MTech CS students have done internships from Google, Samsung Research Lab, JP Morgan Chase, Reliance, etc. Students receive an average stipend of around INR 65,000/month.
