IIITDM Jabalpur is a premiere technical institute. It was established by the MoE in 2005. It is among the oldest and the most well established IIITs.
The CSE department of IIITDM Jabalpur is better in comparison to the other colleges mentioned by you. This is evident in the preference of most students, as they give priority to IIITDM for their CSE over other IIITs.
The placements of the CSE department have been quite good over the past few years. Moreover, IIITDM Jabalpur has a tie up with Japan, and top performers from each branch get a chance to visit the country during winter break.
Thus, I would recommend you choose IIITDM Jabalpur for your CSE.
IIITM Gwalior cutoff for MBA stays around 45-50 percentile. Here are the cutoffs for 2021.

Naturally the cutoff varies each year depending on various factors.
One of my friends was a student of this institute, but he did not know about the 5 years dual degree program in IIEST Shibpur. He told me that no one even knows about this new university's dual degree course; thereby, if you love to get risks, then take admission to enter here.
Besides, he told me that he was also unaware of the reputation along with the education quality of the other two institutes. However, in IIEST Shibpur, you will get immense learning opportunities; additionally, education quality is also not bad as it is an ancient institute. Rather it improves a lot after becoming INI.
It is challenging to state which institute is better if the student doesn’t know the institute properly. Besides, it is also important to understand what is actually better as the thinking of a student.
However, you are from outside of West Bengal, then IIIT Gwalior must be the first priority, although IIEST Shibpur is a reputed institute. The faculties of IIEST Shibpur are experienced enough, but most of them are Bengali. So, preference will be given to students from West Bengal, as the home state would be a great advantage. They will be able to gain all the opportunities like communication. It is because the students from West Bengal can speak in Bengali far better way than the others.
If there is a comparison between IIIT Gwalior and Jabalpur, then the suggestion will be for IIIT Gwalior, as it offers better placement than the other. Besides, it also has vastly alleged alumni and knowledgeable faculties.

Both IIITM and DAIICT are well-known institutions, and interested individuals must do research for both before choosing one, and take into account other deciding factors as well.
IIITM Gwalior is a Govt university. The institute needs to work on the management and administration process to improve its ranking. Being a private deemed university, IIIT Hyderabad has complete autonomy and least bureaucracy. It is a research-oriented institute and often modifies the teaching methodology according to real-time industry problems.
One of the major factors that contribute to the higher ranking of IIIT Hyderabad is its coding culture. Students of the university dominate all major competitive coding forums. IIITM Gwalior has a good coding culture too, but it ranks below IIIT H.
IIITM G teaches topics such as AI and ML. But these courses aren’t taught well. This might be the case for IIIT H as well.
My brother was in the same fix a few years back. After considering various factors he chose IIITM. Here are some of the reasons why he opted for IIITM.
Here’s what you should know about the placements and fee structure of the three institutes.
College name |
Placement (Average Salary) |
Fees (first-year fees) |
DA IICT |
INR 9.5 to 10 LPA for ICT graduates |
INR 1.97 lakhs |
IITDM |
INR 9.9 LPA |
INR 1.38 lakhs |
IIITM Gwalior |
INR 24.33 LPA |
INR 1.49 lakhs |
Last but not the least, do not keep faculty as one of your deciding factors. This can be hugely misleading. Visit the official websites of the institutes, weigh in the factors important for you, and choose accordingly. Both these institutes have their advantages.
