IIITM Gwalior

Admissions:

• The various courses offered by the college are B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and Ph.D.

• The college accepts students purely based on entrance exams such as CAT, GATE, and JEE Mains.

Placements:

• The college has the highest placement record of 90%.

• Over 102 students are placed in the top companies with the highest salary of 42 LPA.

• The average salary of the students is 14.58 LPA.

• Each year over 65 companies visit the campus. In which, over 70 students are placed with salary packages above 10 LPA.

• Frequently visited companies are Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Dell, Meesho, MindTickle, Microsoft, Verizon, Swiggy, Quikr, etc.

Between IIIT Naya Raipur and IIITM Gwalior, the latter is a better option. IIITM ranks in the top 5 IIITs and offers better placements. However, you should compare the two institutes based on the program they deliver for the course you are interested in.

According to the NIRF Ranking, 2020 IIITM Gwalior and DTU are ranked at 100 and 36 for Engineering. Both IIITM Gwalior and DTU offer BTech programs for CS and IT.

Admission:

IIITM Gwalior-

• In order to get admitted to the B.Tech Program at IIITM Gwalior, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 75%.

• The selection procedure is based on the Entrance Exam Results of JEE Main.

• The closing cutoff for CS in 2019 was 7536-9403.

DTU IT-

• In order to get admitted to the B.Tech Program at DTU, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% as an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English from a recognized board.

Getting admitted to either one of the colleges, be it IIITM Gwalior or DTU has its own advantages and opportunities. However, in terms of location, alumni base, rankings, etc DTU has an edge over IIITM Gwalior.

According to my alumni connections from both the colleges, IIIT-Allahabad should be your priority for any degree in information technology. There should be no doubt if you are comparing with IIITM Gwalior. IIIT-Allahabad has an edge over IIITM Gwalior because of these two major reasons:

• This institute has produced a well-known alumni network around the globe that too in a short span of time. So, choosing such an institute with a good academic, industrial and alumni record will definitely prove to be much helpful for you.
• Also, IIIT-A has a better placement record than IIITM Gwalior which is often seen as a priority by many of you.

Both are very good institutes but definitely, the IIIT Allahabad is better. However, in case your pool of interest is information systems management, then you can blindly go for IIITM Gwalior, as they provide integrated degrees in IT and Management.

It depends on how passionate you are in the electrical and IT field. If you are inclined towards electrical then you cannot go wrong with NIT KKR. Being ranked 40th for engineering by NIRF,2020. The electrical branch at NIT has an amazing faculty-student ratio of 1:4 with highly qualified and experienced professors.

If your interest lies in the IT field, IIITM Gwalior must be your priority. Ranked 100 for engineering by NIRF in 2020, IITM offers IT as its flagship course. IIITM Gwalior is one of the 3 institutions in India with 100% Ph.D. faculties.

Admission:

NIT KKR:

• JEE Mains ranking is considered for admission at NIT KKR

• Ranking within 9454-16273 in JEE Main can secure the seat for the electrical branch at NIT Kurukshetra in the first round.

• OBC(non-creamy layer) and General students must have a rank of 4300-6210.

• Electrical branch at NIT KKR offers 120 seats with a fee of 83,600 /year.

IIITM Gwalior:?

• Securing the rank within 9713-14442 in JEE mains will fetch admission in the IT department of IIITM Gwalior.

• The cutoff goes down to 3,800-6,300 for aspirants who belong to OBC(non-creamy layer) and general category

• Admission process is carried through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round.

• IIITM Gwalior offers 262 IT seats with a yearly tuition fee of 84,325.??????

Electrical at NIT KKR is as good as an IT course at IIITM Gwalior. With their amazing curriculum, faculties, and student exposure one can easily ace in the subjects at respective institutes. If your heart and soul lie in Electrical then you must go for NIT KKR or the other way around!

The placement scenario at IIITM Gwalior is one of the best than other IIIT's. 

Mostly all the top companies, including technical and non-technical visits, every year for the placement process at NSIT Delhi.

The top recruiters are Google, Cisco, Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, IBM, Verizon, Accenture, Wipro, Flipkart, Adobe, etc. 

Both these colleges provide quality education with successful placements. The students pursuing a course in any of these colleges will be an excellent choice.

IIITM Gwalior is a much better choice than IIITDM Jabalpur. IIITM Gwalior will be a great choice if the rank of students is around 11k and they are into the IT branch.

• It has a very beautiful green and pollution-free campus. The campus is environment friendly with no pollution-causing vehicles to move across the campus.
• The infrastructure is quite good as per the total number of students enrolled.
• The campus includes centralized AC lecture halls, an open-air theatre, and a large sports complex for the students. The institute has all provision for sports from lawn tennis to swimming.

Coming on to the placement scenarios, this year the placements have been amazing at IIITM Gwalior:

• Two students were placed in Worksop with packages around INR 40 LPA.
• Four students got an offer in Amazon with packages around INR 27.5 LPA.
• The highest package offered by Directi was INR 27.5 LPA.
