• The faculty is very well qualified and the placements have surely become better over the last few years.
• The Alumni cell and network are still developing to be strong.
• Cutoffs are high at IIIT Vadodara so the students can be quite competitive.
• The tag of IIIT also has its own advantages.
• Moreover, curriculum-wise, IIIT’s CSE/IT curriculum does not include irrelevant subjects and it focuses quite a lot on projects and practicals.

Finally, it all boils down to your choice and which college you would like to go for. But IIIT Vadodara will be a better choice considering your future.

Among the choices, IIIT Vadodara is a better alternative. IIIT Vadodara is established on Public-Private Partnerships based on the Government of India. It is an institute of national importance under the IIIT PPP bill.

It is running under DA-IICT which provides the best facilities at least in terms of academics. It is operated from the Govt Engg College, Gandhinagar on a temporary basis and soon will be operated from its very own campus. The permanent campus will helpful in the extracurricular domains and apart from that, all the facilities are provided at the Gandhinagar campus only.

One of my seniors was a student of IIIT Vadodara and he praised how academics were carried out in the institute. The faculty in the institute is highly qualified and has a lot of experience in the field they are teaching. They have PhDs from premier universities. IIIT Vadodara grants admission to applicants based on their applications.

IIIT Vadodara is popular because of its CSE and IT programs. In addition to that, the institute also offers courses in management and ones related to business which also attracts its fair share of applicants. However, if you want to study hardware and CS in theory, you will probably be disappointed.

The institute is currently in operation from the GEC campus which is Gandhinagar, Gujarat. IIIT Vadodara is very popular for its coding culture and has a reputation for recruiting companies like ICICI Bank, Mathworks, and Amazon.

If you want to either choose between CSE or IT, then going for IIIT Vadodara will be a better option. IIIT Vadodara is a government-run institute, while MIT Manipal is a private university.

• However, IIIT Vadodara cannot provide you with the same facilities as MIT Manipal can, since it is a newly developed institute and is at present running on a temporary campus. Yet, it has shown noticeable changes in its development. The curriculum precisely concentrates on subjects that are related to either CSE or IT.
• Now, when talking about the fee structure of each institute, MIT Manipal has almost double the fees as opposed to IIIT Vadodara, since it is a private university.
• Moreover, the average package at IIIT Vadodara has also seen a potential hike to around 6.5 Lacs in the year 2019 from 4 Lacs in the year 2017. It was its first placement session. However, the average package at MIT Manipal is nearly about 5.5 to 6 Lacs.

A cousin of mine is studying at IIIT Vadodara. According to him, this is what you will get at IIIT Vadodara, How is its campus, activities, infrastructure and placement scenario, etc.

• IIIT Vadodara is a good institute in terms of academics.
• It has better facilities, good lab work, assignments, exams, etc. But the non-academic part of IIIT Vadodara is not as good as its academic part.
• IIIT Vadodara does not have its own permanent campus which is why it does not have a proper infrastructure, a library, and a sports complex.
• Only IIIT Vadodara labs are in good condition. As the institute faculty is quite poor, students have to depend on themselves.
• The placement of IIIT Vadodara is not very pleasant as no placement cell exists in the institute.

If the branch is not your concern, you can go for IIIT Vadodara otherwise opt for ECE at IIIT Surat.
