New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore’s Quantum Technology Initiative (IQTI) has recently opened up registration for its student internship program, Q-Daksha.  The registrations for the Q-Daksha program have started on February 28, 2024. Students of Science and Engineering can apply to the program until March 21, 2024 on the official website iqti.iisc.ac.in. 

The program lasts from 4 to 8 weeks and is currently only available for students in Karnataka. You are eligible for the program if you are a 3rd or 4th Year BE/BTech student or an MSc and MTech student. 

The internship program seeks to address key quantum technology challenges by establishing a framework to promote collaborations between physicists, material scientists, computer scientists, and engineers. The Q-Daksha internship program exposes you to talks by experts in the field, lab visits to explore quantum applications, and learning sessions that are hands-on and interactive.

How to Apply to the IISc Q-Daksha Internship 2024?

Step 1: Go to the official website of IQTI at iqti.iisc.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the tab titled “Quantum Research Park”.

Step 3: Read through the details and scroll down to find the registration for the Q-Daksha Student Internship Program 2024.

Step 4: Register with all your details. You will also be required to write and submit a statement of purpose (SOP) of a maximum of 250 words. You will also be required to provide references.
