New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has launched a fresh short-term program on March 18, 2024, focusing on Intelligent Monte Carlo Simulations and Machine Learning—Techniques in Computational Structural Reliability

IISc Bangalore started the registration process for its short-term course on March 18, 2024, and the last date to apply is June 25, 2024. The course will be facilitated by the Department of Civil Engineering for a duration of five days, from July 5 to July 9, 2024.

Aimed at current professionals and aspiring candidates, the course targets faculty members from engineering colleges, especially those specialising in structural engineering, aerospace, defence applications, railway and highway engineering, and automotive engineering. These faculty members encounter uncertainties in loading and structural systems.

Who is Eligible for IISc Short Term Course 2024?

To apply for admission, interested candidates must have an MTech in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering or an equivalent qualification. While not mandatory, familiarity with probability, random processes, and machine learning concepts would be advantageous.

What is the Fee of IISc Short Term Course 2024?

As per the official website, the fee for IISc’s newly launched short-term course on Intelligent Monte Carlo Simulations and Machine Learning—Techniques in Computational Structural Reliability is as follows: 

  • Course fees for Students: INR 5,000 + 18% Tax
  • Fee for Faculty Members from Educational Institutes: INR 10,000 + 18% Tax
  • Fee for R&D Lab and Industry Participants: Rs 20,000 + 18% GST

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for IISc 2024 short-term courses:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IISc Bangalore at iisc.online and register yourself by entering the details as required. 

Step 2: Once verified, log in with your username (registered email address) and password to access the portal.

Step 3: Select the desired course from the list and click on the "Apply Now" button.

Step 4: Fill out all mandatory fields, including uploading a photo, selecting your category (student, faculty, or industry), and attaching a letter of recommendation.

Step 5: Upon selecting the "Pay" option, you'll be directed to the gateway page. Choose your preferred payment method (credit card, debit card, or net banking), and complete the transaction. Save the confirmation mail for future reference.
