JEE Main Chemistry 2025 Syllabus

NTA will shortly release the JEE Main Chemistry Syllabus 2025 at jeemain.nta.ac.in. In 2024, the Chemistry Syllabus of JEE Mains underwent some major changes. Several topics, such as Thomson and Rutherford's atomic models and their limitations, physical quantities and their measurements in Chemistry, precision and accuracy, significant figures, S.I.Units, and dimensional analysis, have been deleted.

  • According to the revised JEE Main Chemistry Syllabus, six units have been removed, including 20 topics from the other five units.
  • Only 2 new topics have been added to the syllabus and they are: 1) Chemical Thermodynamics and 2)Biomolecules chapter.
  • Chapters like General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, Hydrogen. S-block Elements are completely removed.
  • As per previous years' trends, the exam authority is focusing on mixed questions from physical chemistry and organic chemistry from JEE MAIN Chemistry Syllabus 2025. For these mixed questions, topics like Stoichiometry and Percentage Compositions are important chapters from physical chemistry. Questions on quantitative analysis are generally asked from mole concepts.

NTA devises the syllabus based on Class 11 and 12 NCERT Syllabus. Also, a few chapters from NCERT 11 and the Chemistry Syllabus have been deleted. It confuses the students as they do not have clarity about the deleted and existing topics. Questions on molarity and molality from the Molar Concept are asked in JEE Mains. However, these topics are not present in the NCERT Class 11 syllabus. In this article, we are going to discuss a detailed breakdown of JEE Main 2025 Chemistry Syllabus. So aspirants can obtain some clear understanding about the topic.
