CT University has announced that it will be accepting online applications for Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) 2020 for admission to Ph.D. The program is offered in various disciplines for the academic session beginning in December 2020.
Candidates can apply for CT University Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) 2020 December on or before December 22, 2020, along with the application fee (Non-Refundable) of INR 1000.

CT University Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) 2020: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria mentioned- below before applying for the exam;
- Successful completion of Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master s degree by the corresponding statutory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in UGC 7-point scale
- A relaxation of 5% of marks, 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of students according to the decision of the UGC from time to time, or for those who had secured their Master’s degree before 19th September 1991.
- Candidates who have qualified for the M.Phil. Course work with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in UGC 7- point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
CT University Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) 2020: Selection Criteria
The selection process is based on two-stage processes as specified below;
Stage I (Entrance Test)
- Candidates must clear the Entrance Test with qualifying marks as 50. The syllabus of the Entrance Test will include 50% of the research methodology and 50% subject-specific.
Stage II (Interview)
- The shortlisted candidates will participate in an interview where the successful candidates in stage I candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Department Research Committee.
Exemption from Entrance Test
- Candidates who have cleared UGC (NET/JRF)/CSIR (NET /JRF)/ICAR (JRF/SRF) Exam/SLET (for Punjab state only) /GATE/GPAT/ICAR or hold Teacher Fellowship are exempted from taking the entrance test.

CT University Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) 2020: Exam Pattern
- The test duration of the Entrance Test is of 120 minutes and includes 100 MCQ (multiple choice questions).
- Each question carries one mark. No negative mark for the wrong answer is made. The candidate should use only a Black/blue ballpoint pen.
- The question paper will consist of two parts as mentioned below;
