Dr. Satya Sarma is the Principal of the Asian Institute of Management and Technology. He graduated from the College of Veterinary Science at Assam Agricultural University in Veterinary Science. Thereafter, he did his post-graduation at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Sharma has an experience of more than five years in teaching and research.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector? 

The key factor that keeps me connected with the education sector is being able to learn and keep gaining knowledge. I am in a sector of various knowledge where I can constantly learn new things. I enjoy teaching, as learning is a never-ending process and also helps me learn about current trends. As a principal, this is important so that I can continue delivering the best to my students.

What can a student gain from studying in your institute? 

Students at our college can get overall care and complete guidance. They will get plenty of opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills that are required to build a career in our city institute. We provide all the assistance students need to work as professionals in their field right after graduation.

What are the curriculum you provide in your institute and how does the curriculum contribute to the growth of the students?

We provide a curriculum that gives the students all the required knowledge and skills that the industry demands of them. We also provide motivation for them to become valuable and ethical human assets, not just for organisations but also for society. We have taken care to include extra credit subjects that will polish students' skills.

How could your institute be welcoming to students of different races and backgrounds?

Our institute, Asian Institute of Management and Technology is like a mini India where there are students of different races and backgrounds studying together. To us, all of them are the same students. All of them are AIMTians to whom we give a common platform.

The current youth need to come back to their books and study tables. They should not divert from their main duty. They should also cultivate human values.
