What motivated you to choose a path in higher education administration, and what attracted you to your current position as a principal?

I have spent all my 38 years of professional life in Nursing Education, wherein I had the opportunity to be in the clinical as well as teaching. I have the passion for Quality Nursing Education with focus on strengthening clinical skills.

What’s your vision for the college?

My Vision for college is Promoting Quality Nursing Education with focus on strengthening clinical skills. I believe in having a student-friendly environment and promoting overall development of the students. I want an environment where college and students grow and move together towards the path of success.

How do you tend to establish a relation with the students being the Principal/ Vice- Principal of the university? How do you make yourself available to them?

The relationship begins with pre-admission counseling. I personally meet all the students and parents at the time of admission individually. On the day of starting the course, I interact with all the students and parents as part of the orientation program. Students are free to meet the Principal anytime they require. Off duty time they can message or call-in case of emergency.

What advice would you offer to the present-day youth and aspiring students?

My advice for present-day youth and aspiring students would be that when you join Nursing as a profession, feel proud to be a Nurse, be a good human being, be honest, sincere, work hard and learn time management and treat others the way you want to be treated by others.
