How are the faculties and overall culture and atmosphere of your college?
The overall culture of our college is very good and motivating and we have provided a holistic, peaceful and harmonious teaching-learning environment to our faculty members and students. Along with this, we provide best opportunities to students to experiment and grow in such a fast-paced, competing world.
How does your college address the students' academic and personal queries?
We have adopted the mentor-mentee system to discuss performance and difficulties of students on an individual basis with them and one-on-one consultation facility is also available for weak students. And the biggest benefit of this approach is that students feel comfortable while sharing their issues with their mentor because communication remains between two people only.
How do you engage with your students outside the classrooms?
Being a Teacher of Psychiatric Nursing is not only a 9 hour job, but it's a 24×7 responsibility as students can approach me anytime for their academic and personal doubts. In addition to this, I encourage my students on a regular basis to take part in extracurricular activities and sports events because I am also a Member of the College's Sports Committee.

Apart from this, I regularly participate in workshops, seminars and webinars to upgrade my skills.
Do you use any innovative teaching methodologies while teaching students?
I use an amalgamation of different types of teaching pedagogies to teach students and regularly upgrade my methods to suit the needs of students. And whenever I take lectures, I use PowerPoint Presentations and Videos along with one-on-one demos of different therapeutic techniques. Because providing best hands-on training to students rather than just reciting theory for them is my main objective being the Assistant Professor of the college.
How would you describe the importance and relevance of Psychiatric Nursing in today's world?
As we all know that in professional life, one needs to have a strong personality, good management skills and they must be able to deal with the work stress properly. Hence the subject of Psychiatric Nursing comes into picture as it enables an individual to better deal with daily life stress. And its importance increases in today’s world where everyone is dealing with bad mental health, so having knowledge about all this helps in maintaining good mental health and supporting and helping everyone around you.
Are there any specific challenges students face while learning Psychiatric Nursing, if yes how do you address those hurdles?
As the domain of Psychiatric Nursing involves vocabulary that is a bit difficult to remember, hence it definitely acts as a hurdle for the students, but with more interest and efforts ultimately they understand it and perform well in exams. But still if any student faces any challenges, we connect with them on an individual basis and try to resolve their difficulties on time. And being the Assistant Professor, I am always available for my students to address their academic and non-academic needs and issues.
