Mr. N. Balakrishna Chaitanya is a distinguished academician and able administrator with more than 7 years of experience. He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as Assistant Professor from 2016. Prior to assuming the position of the HOD, He was the Assistant Professor in DJR College of Engineering & Technology, Vijayawada. He obtained his Masters Degree from Sree Vahini Institute of Science & Technology, Vijayawada. He has published 15 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, He has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. He has endeared himself to his students and colleagues alike through his affable nature and empathetic leadership style.

Being a HOD of College, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

As a Department Faculty we provide necessary curriculum to the students in the study material like that anything is the student required. If any student requires we will provide them each and everything and also you after the completion of every unit he will give an assignment to students how much they followed the chapter.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

The friendly environment for the teacher and student which help the students to easily express their thoughts or ideas to the faculty which is helpful to the student career. Faculty is there to monitor the academics of the students regularly.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented ?

When we are teaching any subject in the class, those things are completely related to their lab experiments, which are theoretically what they study in the class. Same will be implemented in the lab. The article is part of what they are teaching the class. The same schedule topic is related only to our performance in that week. 

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills? 

The best practices we offer are to include new projects and keep some seminars in the classes for students who give any topic and provide some club activities which develop their interpersonal skills. Complete students development is main motto of the college and Chairman.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students? 

We have a very good curriculum in the college for each and every person and every class we have a good curriculum. We will follow the classes according to the curriculum and make the students follow their curriculum. They have to study in a good manner and try to gain good knowledge in the subject.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world? 

By having some personality development in the class itself by communication skills and all subject technical knowledge. For that purpose they are conducting some competitive events. Many students actively participated in those department channels to enhance their knowledge and which helped them in the future.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

Our students are from state wide student’s, many students in college and also so many are participating in that expression. And there are students shown their projects and explain to their students and student’s are actively participating in those projects and workshops.

What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department? 

When I came to the college I was just a part of a teaching. I Build my career by next level in teaching skills like that I Prepare for some UGC Net or some PhD related exams. I am pursuing Phd to enhance my career to the next level.

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same? 

When coming to my vision I will be part of this institution from 2019 onwards. At the time it was quite different from my seniors and my parents were very friendly and helped me a lot. They guided me a lot. I learn many things in this college regarding department wise and also personally.

What do you see as the department’s/ college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

See, in our area our college’s main strength will be discipline. So discipline wise we are in the very top position where our team of faculty are continuously monitoring the students and they are always trying to put the students on the right track. We are going to organize a hack-a-thon every year.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead? 

When students enter into the campus the students must follow the proper curriculum and study and attain maximum technical knowledge in every subject. Need to perform well in the semester examinations and mid examinations.
