What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Ensuring a positive and conducive to the learning environment”

Being a faculty, my most important role is to ensure quality teaching and giving constructive learnings. To take timely feedback from students regarding teaching methods and arrange seminars and workshops on value-added courses. Also monitoring the performance of students and reporting it to the principal. The purpose of industrial visits is to develop students' interest in the courses over a period of time. It develops their interest in their core field and gives them exposure to the real life tasks they will face in the future.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

Proper communication between students and faculty is paramount for the holistic development”

Our aim is to make classes more inclusive and interactive by keeping more tutorials and doubt clearing sessions. Apart from classes, we also organise various events for facilitating interactions. The faculty is always on its toes to make students feel comfortable and at home while studying.

What are the facilities you have on your college campus?

“Excellent library, computer lab and sports facilities”

The school offers a very well-operated library where students can concentrate on their studies without distraction. In addition to good computer labs, there are workshops available for all branches so that students can gain practical knowledge too. As well as reading, there are sports facilities so that students can engage in physical activities and consider their health as well.

Do you have any extracurricular activities for students?

"Industrial visits, group activities that enhance social skills and team building"

There are several programs we organize on a monthly basis to ensure that students are involved with activities that develop their relation-building skills. In addition, the students are given special attention since many people are not from very cultured backgrounds. Participants in all courses participate in workshops, industrial visits, group activities to enhance their social skills, and improve their teamwork.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?

“Proper field training from experts, with proper equipment”

Practical knowledge is essential for technical fields. Hence, we place great emphasis on practical knowledge. For this, we hold workshops frequently where students are given training from experts in the field. Practical training is a requirement for students, and there is no relaxation for students. Group projects are often carried out in practice. Socialization is promoted by group activities, and collaboration, teamwork, and sharing are added values.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competitive world?

“We give individual attention to each student and strive to assist them in any way we can”

Established in 1904, our institute is one of the oldest and most reputable institutions in Northern India. Since then, we have provided technical manpower to the nation. Our goal is to produce technocrats who are technically and mentally competent so they can be useful both to themselves and to the nation. Our efforts towards students have also been increased due to tough competition today. Students receive individual attention and are assisted in every way possible.

What are your views upon the placements for the students from your department?

“We are seeing a lot of companies on campus and each year the number increases”

The college provides good opportunities and results for IT students where the passing percent for the IT branch is almost 90%. Many companies visit campus for placements and we are hoping to increase this number every year. Once a student comes to our college, our main goal is to make him skilled so that he can seamlessly integrate with the real world.

What valuable advice would you like to give the students?

“They should not be discouraged by failures or be swayed by success”

My advice to students would be to always stay focused and chase their dreams with a clear mind. They shouldn't let failures bog them down and not let success get to their minds. Perseverance, patience and dedication are my three mantras for a prosperous career.
