Ms. Poonam Bachheti is the Vice-Chairperson and MD at DPMI. She holds more than 20 years of rich experience in paramedical healthcare, hospitality and tourism education. She co-founded the Delhi Paramedical and Management Institute. She is also working in the capacity of Director at the DPMI Vocational Institute which is registered at RoC (Registrar of Companies) Delhi. She has been awarded the Sarojini Naidu National Award and the Indian Achievers Award in the years 2016 and 2022 respectively. Further, she has also received the Award of Appreciation in 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.

What are some of the major changes that the covid -19 pandemic has brought in the education sector according to you?

Introduction of various educational online platforms has been one of the most significant changes in education due to the pandemic.

The online learning system has proved to be a useful mode through which students are given content knowledge and information.

The online system of education was in adept with the traditional system, but it laid the foundations of a modern education model. It is playing an important role for teachers to assess each individual student with the help of technology. The abundance of the readymade quality content and material availability on various educational online platforms is the most obvious change in education due to the pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly brought about significant changes in the education sector. 

The pandemic also made it evident that nothing can substitute the physical learning process. Education is a continuous process of developing a person’s intellectual, mental and emotional quotient.
