As the strength for arts and science classes, the norms can be followed with full capacity present at one time. Commerce and Management stream students vary from 80-100 students or above which will create a challenge for resuming the classes.
The classes can also be conducted on alternative days on the basis of infrastructure facilities. The final decision will be on the hands of colleges.
Conducting classes two times will be tiresome for the lecturers as they will have to manage the course structure for multiple sections. Bangalore University is planning to conduct the practical classes for the science streams first seeing the uncertainty of the pandemic situation. The theory and assessment can be conducted online too but practical classes need the physical presence of both the student and teachers.
The Vice-Chancellor has refused to decrease the syllabus explaining that every chapter is important for a student's future and they cannot play with the future generation’s career.
Further, Venugopal has also opposed the idea for conducting COVID--test before enrolling students.
