For getting admission into SRMJEEE, the SRMIST also accepts the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions at selected campuses and programs. The SRM Cutoff 2025 by JEE Main is the minimum JEE Main percentile required to get admission without appearing for the SRMJEEE Exam.

The JEE-based admissions are offered to the high-performing students as an alternative to SRMJEEE, mostly for CSE, IT, AI/ML and other branches of SRM Chennai, Ramapuram and NCR Campuses.

  • For CSE at SRM Chennai by the JEE Mains requires at least a 92-95 percentile, which shows that it is as competitive as low-level NITs.
  • For different campuses like Ramapuram and NCR, students will require around the 80th- 90th percentile, which secures them in top branches like IT and ECE.
  • The Top branches like Mechanical and Civil are accepted with more than 70 percentile at most of the campuses.

What is the SRMJEEE CSE cutoff?

The cutoff ranks for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) vary annually.

  • For the KTR campus, candidates typically need to secure a rank up to 2,000 to gain admission into the CSE program.
  • For other SRM campuses, the required rank for CSE can extend up to 9,000.

Can I get CSE in SRM with 20,000 rank?

Ranking 20,000 will not be sufficient for you to get into SRMJEEE CSE. While ranks under 20,000 are generally sufficient for admission to SRM's B.Tech courses, a rank of 2000 provides a better chance to secure a CSE seat at the renowned KTR campus. The SRMJEEE exam 2025 is conducted out of 125 marks and marks above 80 is often considered for a 2000 rank.

SRMJEEE CutOff Determining Factors

There are several factors that help the authorities develop the SRMJEEE cutoff list. These factors include:

  • Number of candidates appearing in the SRMJEEE exam
  • Number of seats available also helps in determining the cutoff
  • Difficulty level of the paper also plays a role in setting up the cutoff
  • Previous years’ cutoff trends help in determining the upcoming cutoff ranges

SRMJEEE Counselling

After the cutoff lists are out, candidates with the highest ranks will be invited for the SRMJEEE counseling. In the process,

  • SRMIST will offer admission to the candidates based on their choice of institutes and courses.
  • Once the admission offer is made, candidates can choose to accept or reject the offer.
  • If they choose to accept the offer, they will have to pay the counseling and registration fee to lock their seat.
