HPCET 2024 Seat Allotment (Begins), Counselling Schedule (Out), Check Cut off, Seat Matrix, Procedure

HPTU has initiated the HPCET 2024 seat allotment process. Eligible and registered candidates must attend the counselling session at HPTU campus, Daruhi, Hamirpur, for seat allotment. Counselling dates vary based on admission mode: JEE Main, HPCET, or 12th standard. JEE Main qualifiers will be given priority for seat allocation.

HPCET 2024 counselling schedule has been released at – hitmu.ac. The Round 1 of HPCET 2024 Counselling consists of two stages in this particular order -JEE main 2024 and HPCET 2024 Entrance test. The seat allotment process for every consecutive stage will be based on the availability of seats after the previous stage will be over. 

Qualified candidates will have to register and fill in their choices for HPCET counselling 2024. The seat allotment results will be released online. Allotment of seats has been done based on the candidate's merit, preferences, and availability of seats.

If you get selected, you will have to confirm your admission before the final date. Apart from entrance exam scores, the qualifying marks in class 10+2 are 45% and 40% for reserved categories, for BTech and BPharm. The qualifying marks for MBA and MCA are 50% for general and 45% for reserved categories.

Stage 2: HPCET 2024 Round 2 Counselling on the basis of HPCET 2024 (subject to availability of seats)

The other 50% of the seats will be filled via HPCET 2024 Examination. The HPCET 2024 seat allotment will be based on the HPCET 2024 Result as well as the HPCET 2024 Merit list. The candidates must satisfy the minimum cut-off set for admission via HPCET 2024 examination.

Stage 3: HPCET 2024 Round 2 Counselling on 10+2 Marks basis (subject to availability of seats)

This stage of HPCET 2024 seat allotment will be based on the score of Class 12 or any equivalent examination obtained by the candidates. This will be conducted only if the seats remain vacant even after the previous stages of counseling.

HPCET 2024 Counselling Guidelines

Those candidates who haven’t participated in the HPCET 2024 entrance and wish to take admission in the participating institutes via JEE Main 2024 should follow these HPCET 2024 Counselling steps:

• The candidates must fill out an Online Application Form. Only online submissions will be accepted and that too, the candidate needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Every program will need a separate application.
• The candidates who have not taken the route of HPCET-2024 need to make payment of non-refundable Application Processing Fees of Rs.1200/- for each and every category (Gen/SC/ST/OBC), prior to submitting the Online Application Form.
• The Online Application forms will be made available on the official website of the University. http:// himtu.ac.in. The candidates need to carefully go through the instructions given on the website regarding the application forms.
• In case a candidate belongs to a particular reserved category, the fact should be mentioned clearly in the application form. If the candidate does not mention his or her category in the application form, a category against general will be considered by default.

All the candidates who have to participate in HPCET 2024 counseling have to follow these guidelines stated below:

• Counseling session of a candidate will be considered valid only when he or she is personally present at the time of such procedure.
• The Admission Selection Committee may call a candidate at any given time during counselling procedure and the candidate has to be personally present at that time.
• The candidate who is present there at the time of counseling shall be given the advantage of opting for a seat of his or her choice from all the seats vacant.
• In case of absence of the candidate at the time of counselling, the seat allotted to him/her shall stand forfeited. The candidate holding subsequent rank in the merit list will be offered that particular seat.
• The candidates looking forward to getting admission under the Management Quota will have to directly apply to the concerned Private Affiliating College together with all the necessary certificates and documents. Additionally, the mark sheet of National Level Entrance Test -2024 or HPCET-2024 shall be submitted.
• The selected candidates will be forwarded the selection letter post-completion of all formalities.
• In case of any change in the admission or counselling schedule, a notification will be issued at the official website of HPTU itself. No separate communication procedures will be adhered to with regard to this.

Note: In case of any false concealed or restrained information on the part of any candidate, such particular admission will be canceled by default. That particular candidate will not be entitled to any claims against such institute or college government or HPTU.

HPCET 2024 Counselling Guidelines for Candidates of Backward Areas

The below-mentioned clauses have to be adhered to by the candidates regarding admissions belonging to the backward areas:

1. Candidates having cleared a minimum of 2 examinations via Primary or Middle or High or +2 from a school situated in any backward area.
2. Candidates having cleared a minimum of 1 examination amongst Primary or Middle or High or +2 from a school situated in any backward area.
3. Candidates have cleared the above-mentioned 2 examinations from a school that is situated in any instantly adjacent backward area.
4. Candidates have cleared the above-mentioned 1 examination from a school situated in any area that is directly adjacent to a backward area.
5. Candidates who only belong to a backward area have not cleared any of the examinations from there.

HPCET 2024 Counselling Guidelines for Candidates of Defense/Wards of ex-servicemen

The following mentioned points should be considered while giving admission to wards of defense personnel (including the civilians concerned with the G. T. Company, ASC)

1. A person deceased in any war/action
2. Handicapped during any war/action
3. Death because of military service
4. Handicapped during the course of service (Medically Board-out because of disability by reason of military service)
5. Recipient of Gallantry Award during the course of action/ war / service in the order

HPCET 2024 Counselling Guidelines for Sports Category Candidates

The candidates have to compulsorily fulfill the following conditions along with the production of necessary documents. The points in relation to this are as under:

These are HPCET 2024 Counselling guidelines to be followed by the Sports Category Candidates:

• Every candidate falling under the Sports Category will be listed under a specific merit list.
• The merit ranks will be determined by allotting additional weightage as per the best sports played by the candidate.
• The certificates issued by the above-specified Sports Authorities will only be considered valid.
• Such merit rank obtained by a candidate will be relevant only for the Sports category.
• The candidates who are from the sports category are required to provide their respective certificates before the Expert Committee for revaluation of authenticity.
• If the documents are not found to be valid, the claims of the candidate will be out rightly rejected. Such revaluation of the certificates will be done by the Expert Committee set-up for this purpose at the HPTU, Hamirpur, HP. 
• Reserved category candidates will be given preference over the general category candidates at the time of admission. In case of any vacancy in the seats of the reserved category, such seats shall be offered to general category candidates at the conclusion of the final round of counselling.
• A merit list candidate will be entitled to every round of counseling whether or not that particular candidate got involved in an earlier round of admission /counselling.
