Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was very professional. Every semester, the evaluation of the teaching-learning process is done through mini, mid, and end-term examinations with individual subject seminars which students have to give in order to earn credits to get the degree. Also, all of the faculty members in the department were holders of doctoral degrees which indicates their expertise in the field.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The course includes four-semester hence fees should be submitted four times in two years. As only GATE-qualified students were given admission in this course, so all of them got a stipend from the Ministry of Education, India every month. Apart from a stipend, students of reserved categories get a waiver in tuition fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've done my MTech in Nano Technology as I'm interested in research groups and as a part of my BTech in Mechanical Engineering, it will help me a lot in my career opportunities. As MTech will have a few seats in university in the same way 12 students have been allotted in our academic year, the faculty-student ratio is 1:1 and the teaching was really good and our academic year continues in time with exams according to the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities:

Students have the opportunity to develop and apply the skills, theories and concepts learned in the classroom. The ability to develop and hone professional skills that promote growth and development while at the same time gaining industry-specific and often technological skills related to their field is valuable

Placement Experience:

Placement at VIT is pretty good. One can see all the top companies coming to campus to hire students for job and internships. The ratio of placed students varies from department to department as each department has different level of application in India. For eg , electronics , IT , mechanical , civil departments have industrial exposure in India and many students were placed at very good salary packages. I was in nanotechnology and in my department maximum people wanted to do PHD. Thanks to VIT reputation and facilities we were able to get PhD , JRF positions at TOP Colleges in india and in abroad.

Campus Life:

VIT has a large number of clubs .. technical, sports and cultural. VIT has some strict rules , but it's ok.it's just part of college life. A large Library is there with all the required books. Since Weather in Vellore is always hot so college has planted a large number of trees to keep it cool.

Admission:

The admission procedure of our college for the M.Tech course of two years, is an easy one. The minimum eligibility criteria is of securing at least 60% marks in the graduation. Hence, after completing my B.Tech course I opted for the M.Tech course and a merit list was published based on the marks of the applicants in Karnataka PGCET and eventually I got admitted to the college

Faculty:

In our College the faculty is highly qualified each lecturer has done M.Tech or Ph.D. Every professor has the ability to interact with the student very well every sir has nearly 4-5 years experience in teaching of the subjects with proficiency.

Placement Experience:

There is no placement facility in our course. Most of the students opt for PhD or research assistant. There are not very much industries related to nanotechnology in india. So most of the students have to choose their career as PhD or somehow related to labs. In case someone wants to change the domain, then they either go for MBA or prepare for government entrance exams.

Remarks:

I came across about the course nanotechnology at Central University of jharkhand through newspaper ad. I find the course very fascinating and also the course was Integrated M.tech course. So, i find it great opportunity to learn about the nanotechnology. Also the fee for the students are subsidised to some extent as the University is under central government.

Sorry for this there is a little hope of placement. There is two department MBA and Language they have the placement in amazon and centralized banks. You Can try for the off campus placement. We from the technical department don't have a little bit of hope placement for the placement. Our branch is under developing. So we don't have any company to recruit. No, never provide internship. You have to apply for yourself for the internship from any where u wanted. I have been applied at SINP for Internship. I personally messaged the teacher and got selected by the my guide. I spent there two months without any scholarship. I have arranged myself for my accommodation. I worked for two months in chemical science laboratory, they have good lab with excellent research facility. I worked on synthesis of Gold Nanoparticle and learned their uses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As from technical department we have vast syllabi then other departments. Our syllabus is fully nanotechnology related. In 1st and 2nd we studied basic science syllabus. From 3rd semester onwards we are studying fully nano syllabus. Our final year is M. Tech project which we can pursue from any good research institute. Basically we appear for seasonal which called mid semester. Every subject teacher conducts 3sessional according to their wish and calculated the best two. Every seasonal paper of 20marks. At the end of the semester we appear for the final examination which contains 60marks for each paper. Practical exam conduct according to department wise.

Ques. What's your experience of attending M.Tech (nanoscience and engineering) interviews at IISc Bangalore?

● Top Answer By Bidita Ghose on 14 Jul 23

Ans. My friend has the opportunity to attend MTech inter rhe at IISc Bangalore. She was called on the first day itself where she sat waiting and was eventually summoned. As she entered the room, the panelists asked for her introduction. They bombarded her with both technical as well as non-technical questions. The non-technical ones looked like What made you choose nano-technology? What do you know about nanotechnology? They kept counter-questioning her based on her answers. Following this was a round of technical questions. I have only mentioned the most important ones In the current times our electronic devices are becoming smaller, so what do you think? Draw the MOSFET structure on the board. The problems and the solution pertaining to it.  What is the fastest bus?  The interview lasted for 40 minutes. What she learned from her experience was that you need to focus on your basics while preparing. Also, try to answer them honestly because they will counter-question you. She was also surprised that they did not even care to ask a single question about Math and the whole interview was a new experience.Read more

● Top Answer By Rajashree Dalui on 11 Aug 21

Ans. It all actually depends on your interest. As both of these options are completely different and two different areas of interest. You must choose what you find interesting. There would not be any conflict between these two institutes over the placement stats as both of them will give good placements to their students. Here are the recent placement highlights of the institutes. Parameters NITIE IISc Average CTC 20 LPA 10 LPA Highest CTC 43 LPA 40 LPA Major recruiters ETLI, EY, IDFC First HP, Dell, Intel If you are interested in tough work that is more challenging or research and development-oriented, you should choose IISc.
