Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum's emphasis on hands-on projects and industry collaborations influenced my decision to choose this course, as it ensures practical application of theoretical concepts. Additionally, the inclusion of research opportunities aligns with my academic interests and future aspirations. However, improvements could be made in updating course content to reflect the latest advancements and incorporating more interactive teaching methods to enhance engagement. Regarding exam frequency and timing, a balanced approach with regular assessments spread throughout the semester would be beneficial. Exams should vary in difficulty to accurately assess comprehension and application skills, but they should also be manageable to avoid undue stress on students. Open communication between students and instructors regarding exam schedules and difficulty levels can ensure a fair evaluation process while adequately preparing students for real-world challenges.

Campus Life:

On the name of fest two fest are organised in a year. One is spring spree and other one is techno gen. Spring spree organised in April which is a cultural fest. Extracurricular activities offered by the campus is very less. No students union committee is there to solve the issues of students. Facilities and technological provisions within the classroom is very bad.

Placement Experience:

This is the most good part of this college. Placements are very good here for the CSE and other Circuital branches Placement are very good. Coming to the core branches they are a bit tough like everywhere else I'm from M.tech Environmental Engineering (civil department) Our batch strength is 28 . I'm writing this review on 22nd March, my senior batch (22-24) they also have same strength i.e 28. Out of 28 , 18 have been placed till date with av package of around 6.5 lpa which is a normal package which you can even expect from some good IITs (I'm not talking about bombay, Madras, kgp, Roorkee) . So Placements are really nice here and you will be exposed to various opportunities for your career growth irrespective of your branch. There are also various workshops and clubs which support entrepreneurship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of the course is very dynamic and it gives opportunity to gain practical knowledge of different departments also like Biotechnology and Management. The courses offered are very relevant to the industry and the practicality is also engraved in the course structure. In NIT warangal they follow a continuous evaluation process for the acedmic results. There are mainly 2 exams 1) Mid exam that is of 30 marks 2) End exam that is for 40 marks, the rest 30 marks depend on the faculty of the respective courses. It is their choice how they are going to evaluate for the 30 marks throughout the semester. There may be some minor exams, power point presentation or some surprise tests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had an interest in this at the time of B Tech so I choose this course. Faculty to student ratio is approx 1:50. Faculties are highly qualified and have done at least a Ph.D. from different reputed institutes around the world. They teach pretty well but sometime you may feel that they are rushing so you always have to put in extra effort to catch up. Exams and semester schedule is given before the start of the semester and all things happen as per that only. Exams are held at regular intervals and if you study throughout the year then scoring in exams is not very difficult.

Internships Opportunities:

Different companies like Microsoft, BCG, Almost all Core companies, ITC, Microsoft, and many more. Roles offered are product manager, data scientist, consulting, production manager, etc. Stipend depends on the roles offered which range from 10 lakh to 30 thousand per month. Projects are very well and it makes you learn a lot. They help you to get clarity on whether you like that role or not. So it makes your path easy otherwise without an internship it's very difficult to get clarity for your interest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is strong. It focuses on the basics of environmental engineering. There are also subjects that focus on climate change and environmental management. Exams are held twice each semester. The second-year project is mostly research-driven and this along with internship during the sem break provides a considerable professional outlook.

Faculty:

Faculty are very well qualified and knowledgable in their areas. Almost all the permanent faculty have a doctorate. Each subject will have almost 40 lectures and covers the whole topic in the curriculum. The average age of faculty must be around 35. Lectures are mostly focused on real-life examples so they are easier to understand.

College laboratory classes may or may not differ from high school Advanced Placement class labs, depending on the school you attend. Community college labs are likely more similar to high school class labs than lab classes at large universities. Not all science classes have labs; some are just lecture courses. Usually lab classes are scheduled at a separate time from the lecture period. During lab courses, students get a hands-on experience of the subject being taught during the lecture

College Events:

In college, many events took place including Shiv Jayanti, Antaragini, Spandan. The college days are among the best days of our life — the friends we make, the time we spend hanging out in the canteen, sharing everything from class notes to class gossip and full of exciting events. During which a student learns new things and comes across several experiences. College festivals offer a chance to do all this and much more to a fresher who is willing to hop on to the festival bandwagon.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good. It is related to the PG subject which I have chosen and really helpful to full fill for my knowledge requirements. All the faculties were too supportive and took very much of efforts on their students to make them technically sound. I am really thankful to my pg coordinator Dr. Isha P. Khedikar madam, she is the best one. She is also my project guide.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I choose is Environmental Engineering. We all the current issues we are facing today which are climate change, water, and air pollution. In my opinion my future, there will be more scope in solving the environmental crises. My field is completely related to piratical work and there is more practical learning. There are many initiates taken by the university such as a continuous ambient Air quality monitoring system that has been set up which have been monitor by the student to check the daily air quality on the campus.

College Events:

There are many inter-college events and competitions are organized in the university which are Sangathan (sports event), innovation day and Spardha (dance event). The authorities are coordinators or mentors for the student who are working in the organizing committee.

Entrance Preview:

I took GATE entrance exam. I scored an AIR (All India Rank) of 2361 in Civil Engineering Department. I opted this college because it is the nearest top of the class national institutions from my native place (Khammam, Telangana). I've done my bachelor's in Civil Engineering and i'm always fascinated with Wastewater Treatment Technologies. This enthusiasm made me take this course in this college.

Internships Opportunities:

NIT Warangal in fact provides very limited opportunities in terms of internships. I've literally seen this myself. Most of the faculty think that taking students for internship under them for guidance consumes resources and time, hence most of them sidetrack students who want to do internship under them. but, the industrial training options are pretty darn high.

Ans. My brother has given the written test and interview at IIT Guwahati for MTech in Environmental Engineering and he shared the list of questions that he was asked. Ques. What are my career prospects after doing an M.Tech course in environmental engineering from IIEST Shibpur?

● Top Answer By Indrani Bhattacharya on 05 Mar 21

Ans. For an MTech in Environmental Engineering, the best option will be to attempt GRE or IELTS and pursuing a Ph.D. abroad.  There are several research job opportunities for Environmental Engineering students in India but these jobs do not pay well. The reason behind this is the Govt. has not taken initiative to improve in this field. Which is not the case abroad.  If your only alternatives are institutes like NIT Durgapur, it will be better to go for IIEST Shibpur. Pursue a B.E. in Civil Engineering and after that do your MTech in Environmental Engineering. You will get way better research exposure at IIEST Shibpur. Read more

Ques. Will it be worth doing mtech in transportation from iit bhubaneswar instead choosing water resources from iit kgp ?

● Top Answer By Disha Gupta on 14 Aug 20

Ans. This totally depends upon your interest in the subject. You should give preference to the subject rather than a degree from college because your subject will shape your future. The school of water resources is one of the pioneer centers for education and training in water quality and quantity management. There is an advanced research water quality lab in IIT Kharagpur. It is an old IIT and will provide more opportunities for higher studies in foreign universities, people also go to foreign universities from IIT Bhubaneswar but opportunities in IIT KGP will be more. The water resources have limited scope considering the Indian employment scenario. If you are giving preference to the subject then join IIT Bhubaneswar. If your preference is not the subject then join IIT KGP because exposure and opportunities will be more in IIT KGP. A student planning for Ph.D. after M-tech will have much better scopes in IIT KGP than IIT Bhubaneswar.Read more
