Maharshi dayanand university's Dept of Food Technology

Dislikes

  • Professor are sometimes rude without any reason. Slightly old building

Course Curriculum Overview :

As food science is an emerging field. The curriculum is well prepared and updated regulary so helps us to understand new knowledge. Exams timing is in every 6 months. However the exams are easy to pass if one study during the course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

11915 rupees was paid in the first year and same amount was paid in second year. It includes all the charges like lab fees exam fees develeopment fees etc. Sc/St students whose income is below 2 lakhs pay only 500 rupees

Campus Life :

Campus life is amazing and gives a good exposure . As it is one of the best university in haryana in terms of education and infrastructure . Also a good infrasturcure for sports as well. Cultural prograams also organised every month. Annual fest organised in nov to dec.

Admission :

I also applied to forensic science in mdu campus . Just my intrest was in food science so i take food science. As the admission is entirely based on entrance examination . Other colleges also i applied as i dont make into them as they were taking admissions on the basis of the graduation score.

Faculty :

There is a 1:20 faculty ratio in lectures and for dissertation a 1:6or 7 ratio . Dr jyotika dhankhar is a specialist for dairy technology and fruit and vegetable technology. Exams are moderately difficult and 4 to 6 exams are in each semester and if you study moderately you will easily clear . The curriculum is really relevant to industry and competetive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose food tech. As a food technologist gates are open for you in food industry. We are prepared here for industry as well as to work as a lecturer in college. Course curriculum includes industrial training after 1st and second year respectively which has to be done in food industry. So these industrial trainings are plus point for our entry in the industry after we complete our degree. Final exams are conducted in the month of May June every year and in between the year two sessional exams are conducted first one in September and then second in December.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually I was always interested in environment so I decided to take it. The curriculum is well designed as we have to study the all current situation of environment and their issues. Experiment part is not upto the mark The exam frequency is fast. But is not so difficult because everything comes inside the syllabus only.
