M.Sc Food Technology in CFTRI

Remarks :

The institute mainly focuses on the different aspects of technology for its new session. In post graduate level food technology is offered in Science department. For the admission, an entrance exam is conducted. The online interview for the shortlisting candidates is held through skype.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Principles of food engineering, food microbiology, food processing and preservation etc increase students knowledge with health benefit and food chemistry. Food packaging, quality control and it's designing are also included in the syllabus. Most of the faculty have experience to serve in food manufacturing organisations.

Placement Experience :

CFTRI offers the best placement in food industry. It provides placement through campus interview. Students can afford the course fee by taking educational loan. Many well recognized manufacturing companies invest in the institute.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Karnataka scholarship is given to the meritorious students of the college. 25 top ranked students get shortlisted by the institute. Students can apply for educational loan with the permission of the institute.

Campus Life :

The placement is very good. Almost 90% students are trained by the placement cell before getting placement in different companies. Sports friendly students get special facility. Laboratory is surrounded by high infrastructures.

Students are trained from 5 sem itself for placements but they get placed from 6 sem Companies like codeyoung ,Wipro, Infosys come to our college highest package is 12lakh per annum and average package is 8to 9lakh per annum

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good . Placement for computer science branch is very nice. Average package all around branches is like 3.5 to 4.5 LPA. The highest package is around 27LPA. If we didn't get any placements means we need to develop more skills and attend and offline interview and get placed.

The student is eligible from the 6th sem for placement. Due to the global recession, there were some companies that did not come this year. The highest company that cam3 was for 36 lpa. The average package is mostly 7 lpa. This year almost all the students got placed in Tull they finished their final year.

Placement Experience:

There is a mandatory internship for students during the summer break after their 1st year of MSc. BASE Placement Cell (BPC) is responsible to look after the placement and internship opportunities for the students. However, the students need to opt-in for their service or they can handle it on their own. The first batch will graduate in the year 2022 and hence there is no placement record for the same.

Remarks:

Experienced lecturer's are there.nd Good library and environment is also good.and all are so friendly there. Hygiene is A1 and All facilities are provided. security and safety is provided to all students.and I like the college alot.because it is spacious and the surroundings is so good
