MCA Admission 2024: Application Deadline, Entrance Exam, Admission Process, Eligibility, Top Colleges

MCA Admission 2024 is done based on an entrance examination, as most institutions organize their entrance exams for admission purposes. However, several universities, such as Christ University, offer admission based on personal interview and a micro presentation. MCA Admission at the NITs is done based on the NIMCET 2024.  

Candidates seeking MCA Admission 2024 must appear for any of the state, university or national level MCA entrance exams such as TANCET, IPU CET, NIMCET, MAH MCA CET, WB JECA, etc. Mumbai University MCA Admission will be done based on an entrance examination scheduled for August 11, 2024. Also, the registration for 1st Phase MP MCA can be done till July 27, 2024, and the common merit list will be published on August 01, 2024. 

MCA is a two-year degree course targeted at students who are willing to study computer applications at a Master’s level. To be eligible for admission to the MCA Course, students should complete their bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized board

MCA Admission Process 2024

Students seeking admission to top MCA Colleges for the academic year 2024 can opt for competitive exams as mentioned earlier. Otherwise, students can apply to institutions that provide direct merit-based admission.

While the highest CTC goes up to INR 9-11 LPA.  But JNU is a research-oriented university. If you want excellent placement in the technical field, it will be better to join the top IIT or NIT. Ans. In 2011, a Placement Coordination Cell (PCC) was established in BHU to take full responsibility for placements of the entire university (except IIT/IMS). This body has improved the placement drives at BHU to a large extent. BHU is now visited by reputed firms for recruitment. Ans. One of my cousins completed an MCA from IGNOU while doing a job. She shared her experience with me. I have summarised it in points for better understanding: The Degree Certificate of IGNOU MCA will enable you to appear for an interview  There are regular classes on weekends. But these classes are only on paper so you can skip them. Students will have to approach self-study only Projects are only formalities and have no real value Institutes that run the MCA IGNOU program offer no help when it comes to getting a job. There is no value of IGNOU MCA in Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc Apart from this various advertisements in newspapers specifically mention that IGNOU candidates will not be able to apply. So I will not recommend that you complete an MCA from IGNOU.Read more
