The curriculum of Information Technology In Jadavpur University is very good. There are many subjects present in the curriculum which is highly necessary for our future. There is a subject named Technical English and soft skills which teaches us how to deal with a interviewer properly in a interview. According to me there is no improvement needed in the curriculum and the teaching method. According to me the exam difficulty is moderate.

This course has great placement opportunities and average package is 22 LPA . Profeessors are top notch quality. Term exams i.e. the semester exams are held after Every 6 months . The course was started by JU in the year 2000.
I have taken the Information Technology branch as I was interested in coding domain. The faculty:student ratio is about 1:10. The teachers are very friendly , well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching style of every teacher is not so good. You will have to study of your own some of the things. There are class tests, sesional disclosive and semester exams , viva for practicals. The semester exams are moderate , you can score a good marks by preparing 15 days prior to examination. But to score above very much marks you have to study hard. The course is very flexible , you will get enough time to explore new things and follow your passion.
The reason I choose this course is because of the growing IT industry scope. Faculty-student ratio is very good, faculty details are available on the website of the Jadavpur University Department of Information Technology The exam system is the same as in all engineering Colleges, There are two semesters in a year, and class tests and internal in each semester.
The semester holds every after 3 months and it is very easy to qualify. Though some faculty members are really good and helpful some of them are not. In 1st yr.. because they are hired from arts and sciences faculty.
IT has the newest and most updated syllabus among all branches in JU, so I chose it. The placements of IT is also amazing, second highest after CSE. The student-to-faculty ratio is approx 12:1 which is good. The teaching method of faculties are okayish and they are more than qualified to teach. Some of them have greater connections to help in the research field and higher studies which increase the research output of JU. There are two-term exams that occur between a gap of 4 months and they are average in difficulty, passing is easy enough for everyone.
I chose this course mainly because of the brand of Jadavpur University and its placement. I have always been interested in the software development field. And Jadavpur University gives you one of the best chances at the top companies. The faculty: student ratio is quite good. All the faculties are qualified. They have done masters in their respective fields. The semester exams were quite tough.
I choose IT Course because I love coding and it have an higher average package salary. Faculty are good in numbers to teach students We have different Faculty for different subjects and also sometimes different for different parts of the subjects. Faculty of our university are well enough educated and qualified in their subjects. Some have completed pHD , some have studied abroad and they are just amazing Faculty. Their teaching methodology are also great , they teaches us very well. Only for the 1st years students due to COVID pandemic exams were not conducted on a timely basis but were conducted smoothly and in offline mode, the paper difficulty was not tough it was of moderate to easy level of paper.I you have Paid a good attention in the classes then it would be difficult for you to pass the exam. From 2nd years onward the timing for the exam gets good and corrects
I choosed Information Technology since I was mostly interested in coding and also due to high average package of IT branch. The faculty:student ratio is quite good and the term exams are scheduled in a very orderly manner and students will enjoy their life in this college.
