MP BDS Admission is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) in Madhya Pradesh based on MP NEET counseling. To seek MP BDS Admission students must qualify for the NEET exam. 

Madhya Pradesh Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Admission is expected to start in July 2024. DME conducts the MP BDS NEET Counselling in several rounds after the NEET Result is announced. NTA will conduct the NEET UG 2024 on May 05 for all candidates seeking MP BDS Admission.

BDS is a 5-year course for students who want to pursue a career in dentistry. To be eligible to apply, candidates must have qualified a 10+2 level of examination from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects. The candidate must have attained a minimum age of 17 years by December 31, 2024.

MP BDS Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

There are certain eligibility criteria for the MP BDS admission 2024. The Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before registering for the MP BDS counseling 2024. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Candidates must be citizen of India and have a domicile of Madhya Pradesh as only Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates are eligible for the MP BDS Counseling 2024.
  • The minimum age Limit is 17 years as of December 31, 2024, and the maximum age limit is 25 and 5 years of extension for the reserve category candidates.
  • Candidates Must pass 10+2 from Science Stream with Biology as a Main Subject with a minimum of 50% for the general category, 45% for physically handicapped, and 40% for reserved students from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must appear in the NEET and score valid marks in the NEET for admission to the MP BDS Course.

There are several steps to fill out the Application form for the MP BDS 2024 Admission. The application form consists of steps from Profile Creation to Fee payment to complete the application process. The steps are mentioned below:

Step 1: Profile Creation

Students have to create their profile to fill out the application form for the MP BDS 2024 Admission. 

  • Go to the official website of the DME (Directorate of Medical Education)
  • Click on the New Registration 
  • Enter the NEET 2024 Roll number and password
  • Enter the Secret key of 12 Digit, along with the captcha code, and click on the Create Profile Option.

Step 2: Registration

After creating the profile, candidates have to register for the MP BDS 2024. 

  • Login to Profile 
  • Enter personal details such as name, parent’s name, date of birth and gender
  • Enter mobile no, email ID, address, and photo ID number. 
  • Enter bank account information and select the continue option.
  • A one-time password (OTP) will be dispatched to the candidate’s verified mobile number.
  • Enter the received OTP and create a new password.
  • Cross-check the details and then click on the verify and save button.

Step 3: MP BDS 2024 Admission Form Filling

Fill in the Correct Information in the application form as incorrect information may lead to the rejection of the application form by the authority.

MP BDS Admission 2024: Documents Required

MP BDS Admission 2024: Result and Counseling

The merit list for the MP BDS will be released on the official website by the counseling conducting authority Directorate of Medical Education (DME). The merit list students will get the call letter for the Counseling and further process. After the merit list declaration, there are several steps candidates have to follow:

Step 1: Sign in using a unique user ID and password.

Step 2: Select the type of college, whether it is government or private.

Step 3: Fill in the desired choice filling but must read the guidelines provided by the NTA before the choice filling.

Step 4: Once the choices are filled, the candidate has to lock them, OTP will be sent to the registered mobile no, after entering the OTP filled choices by the candidates are locked.

Step 5: Seat allotments are based on seat availability in the particular college and desired choices.

Step 6: After the seat allotment, students have to present in the allotted college for document verification with the print of the MP BDS counseling seat allotment letter to complete the admission process.

Ques. What if I forget to lock my choice in the application form during choice filling?

Ans. If one forgets to lock choice filling, the last save choice will be automatically locked after the last date of registration and one can’t change it after that, so candidates are advised to fill choices correctly and lock them in the given time period.

Ques. Is the NEET score important to getting admission to BDS Colleges?

Ans. Candidates who are willing to pursue a BDS course have to appear in the NEET exam and clear the minimum cut-off to become eligible for the admission process in the BDS Colleges. Ans. As per the Dental Council of India (DCI), this year (2022) the session will start from January to September. The session will be short (9 months), so according to that your exam should be in the month of February or March.  Furthermore if they delay your session it will keep on getting shorter.
