Law students are only allowed to stay in the hostels for their first 2 years and will have to shift to either flats or PGs which are also expensive due to the college policy for us. As for the hostels there is only one boys hostel and 3 girls hostel which are bigger than boys one.
Hostel facilities are decent. 3 students stay in one room. We get breakfast, lunch, supper, and dinner. The registration process is quite simple. You've to approach the concerned authorities. Upon allocation of room, you've to make the payment and the room gets finalized.
The girls hostels are either on campus or near campus. The hostel facilities for boys are all private but they are affiliated to the College and cost around the same. All hostels are well equipped with facilities. The rooms are either 2 or 3 sharing with attached bathrooms. Refrigerators, Induction stoves, microwaves and other facilities are provided in the common rooms. For hostels slightly far away from College, regular shuttle facilities are provided. Most students do begin renting apartments around campus in their 2nd or 3rd year. However, one could stay in the hostels for all 5 years as well.
The hostel infrastructure is good it is close to college the mess food is decently good all the basic eminities needed by a student is provided like a study table and book shelf shuttle service on demand for safety the curfew timing is 11 pm and we have biometric scanners for ensuring our timings of entry and exit from the hostel
Hostel at our time was not easily available. If one wanted Hostel room, he had to apply quite initially and regularly follow up his application. PG rooms were easily available at throw away distances and prices were nominal, like Rs. 3000/- inclusive of mess. Fooding was good, though spicy but yes it hardly affected the stomach in any negative manner.
It is my sole opinion that the fees are on the expensive side. And I say this because the fee doesn't include your hostel accommodation. Students usually find accommodation on their own although I hear this has changed now. Apparently the college now provides hostel facilities to new comers, but when I joined back in 2012, I had to find a hostel facility on my own. There are PGs around within the range of 5000 to 10,000 per month. However, by the second year most students prefer staying in flats with their friends and they are all available close to college.
The hostel is optional for girls and non-existent for boys.Being a girl who has been staying in the hostel for the past 2 years, I can say that the hostel is as good as it can get. The in timings are 10 pm everyday, except on Saturday when it is 11pm in the night, which is pretty liberal I think. The food is okay to good, depending on the chef's mood, but overall I found it much better than other hostels. There are two options, the twin sharing room with mess fees was for Rs. 135500 and the triple sharing one was for Rs. 115500 + a refundable amount of Rs. 15000 is taken as security deposit.Otherwise finding apartments in the area is pretty easy where a 2BHK is in the range of Rs.16-22 thousand/month and 3BHK for around Rs. 24-30 thousand/month
The hostel rooms are very good. Symbiosis hostels have very strict policy. Food is served 4 times a day at the times mentioned. They are particularly strict about The discipline, night outs and smoking and drinking within the campus.

There's an event called Symphoria organized for all first-years to break the Ice for them. It's a super fun-filled week where you compete class-wise in various events like dance, music, Vada pav eating competition, and whatnot. Then there is Symbiosis's annual fest called Symbhav where famous signers are called and it's a crazy two-day event. This usually happens in the month of March. The sports and extracurricular activities are very good. The college takes part in various state and national level competitions all round year. Classrooms are big and airy and have smart boards. There's no AC.
