I took the CET. The admission process is unnecessarily very complicated and time taking. You have to keep on freezing and floating colleges and they're very slow in removing merit lists. It leads to a lot of uncertainty for students.
You have to give the MHCET Law Entrance Exam to get admission in GLC. The application for the exam is released on the official website of the CET Cell. The application fee is 800, and the application is released around 4-5 months before the exam.
The admissions to Government Law College, Mumbai is through the MH-CET entrance exam. The application form for the entrance exam is available on the MH-CET official website. To be eligible you must've ve completed your 12th grade from any stream. The only thing about admission through CET is that it is a very slow process and you get admitted somewhere near November December.
After completing my 12th, I wanted to do 5 years integrated Law degree. As there were fewer colleges for 5 yrs integrated law courses and this was the best college for law, I opted for it. I also applied for PGCL at vile parle which is also good. I have not availed any quota for admission but I got admitted after completing my first 2 years in PGCL and got transfer admission in 3rd year on merit. There is a reservation quota for the reserved category and for general its own merit and it goes anywhere between 75 to 90 percent marks in your 12th standard. The admission process was pretty simple, you have to fill the necessary college admission form, attach your mark sheets and relevant documents and submit it with the necessary fees for the first year in the college office.
I hage throughly enjoyed my college life. The staff in the college may sometimes be a pain in your neck but otherwise overall experience is great.
The course curriculum is spread across 5 years, 10 semesters in total. Exams are held at end of each semesters and students have to go for a month of internship in different courts/cases as prescribed for all 10 semesters.
This course duration is of 2 years and specializes in constitutional law and human rights. There are four semesters and exams are held at the end of each semester. The students maybe assigned to visit court in order to understand the practical functioning.
