Remarks :

College Management was fully trained and professional in their work also personal attention was given to the students in all fronts and outstation students were given personal attention as well.

Entrance Preview :

Symbiosis, the brand name wherein every other student desired to be admitted. The first batch to face the written examination for admission was ours and the standard was at par with the entrance examination of any Oversees Law College. The scoring was average, but being chosen itself made us victorious in every manner.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is lively and changes with needs of the society. Initially the focus was on basis laws and societal aspects. Gradually the courses became strictly legal oriented and the crux of law - Jurisprudence was taught in the final year. Courses designed in good manner to ensure that students can grasp 'LAW' easily.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship was not provided at the relevant time though concessions were given to outstanding students and students who hailed from the lower strata. Process of giving internship was transparent and well founded.

Placement Experience :

Placements were occasioned through in house placement cells wherein students of the penultimate year used to do the ground work, overseen by the Principal and teacher in charge. Corprate legal firms like Anand and Anand, Surana etc. used to visit. Corporate companies like ICICI, Government PSUs, etc, also used to visit the campus. Ideally in the batch of 60, atleast 20 would get the placement. Packages at that time were in the tune of Rs. 5 Lakh per annum.

College Events :

Symbiosis has a number of events round the year. Starting from Fresher's bass, cultural events, Founder Director's Day, Law Day, one week Symbiosis Fest, etc. The event was big enought to leave no space for even a pin. Participation was hectic and people really had to be thorough to make it, else elimination was at the threshold.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure was feasible at the relevant time. Since at that time it was governed under Pune University, the fees was around Rs. 6000/- per year for outstation students and less for locals. Apart from the fees, nominal expenses towards research, etc was occasioned which did not bother the pocket much.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship was offered by the college through independent scholarship programs of the government and private law firms. Since the fees was flexible, there was no requirement for loan. In case of deserving candidates, concession was suitably given. Surana and Surana Scholarship was one of the best noteworthy.

Campus Life :

Campus life of Symbiosis cannot be compared from studies to dance to eating to masti everything within the campus. Extracurricular activities in form or State, National and International Moots was a regular affair. Sports, debates, extempo, etc. were routinely held. The gender ration was 60:40 and the diversity was superb.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel at our time was not easily available. If one wanted Hostel room, he had to apply quite initially and regularly follow up his application. PG rooms were easily available at throw away distances and prices were nominal, like Rs. 3000/- inclusive of mess. Fooding was good, though spicy but yes it hardly affected the stomach in any negative manner.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni Network of Symbiosis is fast catching on and alumni are really helpful only a statement of being from Symbiosis itself suggested that the candidate is well qualified and well mannered and further references hardly effected senior students are / were always helpful and ragging was not occasioned.

Exam Structure :

Exams were well spread out giving ample time for revision. The course curricula was designed in a manner which could justify the studies as also the exams. I wont consider it either hectic nor chilled out. It was ok for an average student who need not take pains if he was knowing his subjects properly.

Admission :

Admission was through entrance examination. Forms for the same were floated in or around April and Hard copies of the forms were filled in and handed over to college with prescribed fees giving option of the center to sit for entrance examination, by May/June. Admit card was issued and entrance examination was occasioned in June / July. Results announced within a week and admission notice issued.

Faculty :

Symbiosis, as the name suggests, is recognized by its faculty. The faculty was superb and upto date. Infact frequent seminars to regularly keep upbrest the students and the faculty as well were routinely held. Each subject had specialized faculty. Even guest faculty consisting of eminent personalities like Judges, Senior Advocates, Professors, etc. used to visit and teach the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers all the relevant subjects of law. One can pursue advocacy in either civil or criminal side as the course covers both the topics very well. The teaching method is from books and by using power point presentation. The exams are held on a timely basis and are medium to hard in difficulty level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for teaches us the knowledge required to be a part of the law fraternity. But the actual applicability of the syllabus can be seen as different from what is taught in the curriculum. Practical knowledge of what is taught needs to be done

After 8th semester students become eligible for the placements. Basically it is the field of skill set. If one has that skills of a good lawyer he or she must be settled anyhow. Around 60 percent student gets placed evey year. The highest package is of around 10 lakhs and average if of 3 to 4 lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course 8/10 aa course is highly good for me and i chose this field because of the respect it have our curriculum is good only as first 2 years we have BLS subjects then we have law subjects after that. As it is an integrated course it surely serves the purpose and makes you ready for real-life field only but as we have 75-25 pattern it gets hard to write that much in the examination in that much hour also we have to prepare for internals alot then assignment costs alot of time and make the whole study schedule hectic
