The highest package for the last year was 18 lakh per annum offered by puma. 100% of students get the placement from the campus. I will be working as a buyer in any recognized organization and after gaining knowledge I will be opening my retail store.
From the 8th semester onwards we are eligible for campus placements. Companies do visit the campus as well as NIFT has a central placement system too in which students can prefer any campus for their campus placements. The salary is not very handsome in the beginning. Usually starts with Rs. 20,000/- per month which is really not an acceptable offer after investing about 15-16 lakhs in the education and getting this amount is not justified. Though there is a need for our college to fix the minimum salary for placement companies. Most students find off campus placements with good packages than on campus placements. One can also go to further study masters in Fashion technology or fashion management. My personal plans are for entrepreneurship in the field of technological advancement in fashion or having my own import export house someday.

NIFT provides a structured placement program that are organised at various centres in a span of month where students take their portfolio and get interviewed by companies of their choices. Companies that come for placement are of various scale, While biggest garment companies such a Madura and Arvind come in, some small companies from places like tirupur also come in and offer great job profiles to students. Our placement in 2007 all my classmates were placed and an average package was 3.5L was offered that was a good package at that time.

Placement are okay. People do get placed here, but the frequency and the packages are low. If one has acquired talent to go off campus, the chances are good. Personally, I will myself go for campus placement, hoping for good package.

Campus placement is average as only some companies comes for the placement and approximately half of the student get placed because of campus placement but if the student tries from themself, college tag will help them a lot .

Placement of college is difficult in terms Of one needing to be really really good to get one. There is a lot of competition. You are competing with the Pan India nifty campus and all the undergraduate and postgraduate students. But the placement process is also quite systematic as it is centralized.
92% of students get placements after graduation from NIFT. My plan after getting the degree is to do a master's in FIT. If I get a chance to go then I'll go there and do my master's and after that, I'll do my Ph.D.
Nift is said to have 99% placement at it's campus. Though we don't have different placements for each campus. We have a centralised placement in which a student can visit any campus for placements. Different brands like pantaloons, flipkart, park Avenue, raymond, Arvind mills, Levi's visit our campus.
