Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination, Kerala or examinations recognised as equalent thereto, with 50% mark in mathematics saperately, and 50% marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry put together are eligible for admission under merit quota. However candidates who have passed higher secondary examinations, Kerala or examinations recognised as equalent thereto, with 45% marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry put together are eligible for admission under management quota in private self financing engineering colleges. In the case of SC/ST/OBC 40% marks are eligible.
