The course that i chose was Fashion Design for my bachelorette and designing garment was one of the specific aspects of this curriculum that influenced me to choose this course there are others subjects too to choose from the curriculum includes digital designs styling and many more. Faculty are well qualified and supportive towards students. Exams are conducted on time.
The curriculum is easy, there is no written exam or exam as such only submission and tons of them. The teaching method is very good I never get bored but there is a lot of pressure on submissions. It is very difficult to score a 9 pointer and a topper also gets an 8 so it is pretty difficult to pass. Teachers are less on the online mode but soon there are new teachers joining in. The accessory is the best in Shillong and is known for it even more than fashion design, the teacher especially Thing ma'am amazing teacher and very helpful.
Course syllabus was intresting as always we learn new thing. Faculties are good always there teching style is differnt. Aurnita das she is strict but good faculity. In every 6 semerter they provide us industrial exposure.
For my course of accessory design, fee of NIFT is ?2,70,900 for 1st year. For all the bachelor courses of NIFT, fees is almost the same. It changes for all 4 years but is approx 2-3 lakhs. Tuition, exam and other fees is included in this.
NIFT, Shillong is one of the best ranked college in the world, so obviously the fee structure might be a little too expensive and dramatic for some students to waive it. But the fees can be paid semester wise and students can avail any loan. The fee organization for my 4 years degree graduation is in total Rs 11.09 Lakhs which also includes tuition fees that changes according to the years we go in, exam fees including other fees.
The fees for my course is around 6,29000 for one year which I consider is a bit expensive because of the fact that the machines and maintenance cost of the art facilities is really very high. Moreover it is mandatory for first year students to stay in hostel . The hostel & mess charges are also quite high.
The course is for four years. I paid an amount of approximately 2.77 lakhs as my first-year fee. The total expenses for 4 years of the college can amount to even more than 11 lakhs. Additional charges are taken for some workshops.
The fee structure you have to pay semester wise. It's feasible. It's about 60k-70k INR per semester. For NRI students they have to pay for the full year, which is 5-7 lacs INR per year. Learners have to pay for their own stuff which is the only expanded cost of the program.
The total fees is almost 12,00,000 for 4 years. Hostel, security deposits and other fees are separate. We frequently have field trips and study tour across India and sometimes abroad which will be charged separately during the visit.
The fees of NIFT is quite expensive like in any other designing institution. I had paid around 2.1 lacs for one year of my education in that college and for the three years it was around 6.5 lacs including everything except hostel.
