JAC Chandigarh Counselling 2025 Registration (Open), Check Dates, Seat Allotment, Admission Process

JAC Chandigarh counselling 2025 registration is open on the official website, jacchd.admissions.nic.in. The last date to apply for registration is 21^st June, 2025. The correction window will be held from 22nd June 2025 (Sunday)-23rd June 2025. You must note that during the opening of correction window, the Online Document Verification process will remain suspended.

• The admission will be based on JEE Main 2025 score and marks obtained in class 12 board exam.
• Uploading the self attested copies of all the documents is mandatory during the registration.

As per JAC Chandigarh 2025 eligibility criteria, for admission to BE/B.Tech course, you should have passed class 12 or 10+3 diploma with Mathematics as compulsory subject. But for admission to B.Arch course, a minimum of 50% minimum mark in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, and also 50% in aggregate is required. 

The application fee for JAC Chandigarh 2025 counselling is kept at INR 2800 for the General category and INR 1400 for SC/ST/PwD categories. Your authentication will be done based on JEE Main 2025 result, your name, mother’s name, and date of birth.

After successful authentication, the candidate will create his/ her login credentials, and provide contact information, like email ID and mobile number. All registered candidates are required to submit their choices of JAC Chandigarh 2025 participating Institute and Branch in order of their preference.

JAC Chandigarh 2025 eligibility criteria for; BE, BTech, Integrated BE (Chemicals), and MBA, are enlisted below.

Academic Qualification

The academic qualification for JAC Chandigarh 2025 counseling for B.Tech is the same as JEE Main.

Important Points Regarding JAC Chandigarh 2025 Eligibility

• The All India Rank acquired in JEE Main will be used for admission to BE/BE (Chemical) with MBA and B Arch programs.
• The cut-off for various categories will be decided by CBSE once JEE Main results are declared.
• SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and PwD candidates will be eligible for admissions on the basis of relaxed criteria cut-off declared by CBSE for Central Counseling.
• For candidates applying under any other category besides SC/ST/BC/PwD, the cut-off marks (to be decided by CBSE) for eligibility will be the same as for the General or Open category. The lower percentage of marks secured in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam and/or relaxed criteria (cut off) for one category will not be taken into consideration for the reservation to other categories. This means that these aspirants will not be considered for reservation under any other category with relaxed criteria.
• Candidates eligible for BE/BE (Chemical) with MBA and BArch will also be eligible for registration to the same courses for the upcoming session.
• Candidates who get a compartment in the 10+2 exam will not be considered eligible for admissions under JAC Chandigarh 2025 Admissions even if he/she clears the supplementary exam before the counseling/reporting dates.

The inter-se merit of candidates will be determined on the basis of JEE Main All India Rank only, except for Sports and Defense Category students.

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Counseling & Admission Process

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Counseling process comprises following steps.

Step 1: Online Counseling Registration and Fee Payment

• Interested candidates who are eligible are required to fill an online registration form at the official website and pay the registration fee.
• Eligible candidates have to authenticate themselves by providing the following four parameters.

1. JEE Main 2025 Application Number
2. Candidate’s Name
3. Mother’s Name
4. Date of Birth

After successful authentication, the candidate will create his/ her login credentials [JEE Main Application No. shall be the login id, and the candidate should create a password] and provide contact information (i.e., Email id and Mobile number).

If a candidate forgets his/her password, the additional information provided by the candidate at the time of registration will be used to get the new password. Hence, every candidate has to enter the required additional information as indicated in the registration form at the time of registration.

A candidate applying for both Engineering and Architecture courses is required to register twice. For the first time he/she will register for seeking admission in Engineering Courses and second time he/she will register for seeking admission in B.Arch.

Step 2: Document Verification

Document verification of the candidate belonging to the below mentioned categories/quotas along with their supporting documents and affidavits/undertakings before choice filling is Mandatory.

All registered candidates of General and reserved categories who want to avail the benefit of any one or more of the above mentioned categories should upload their category certificates for online verification before the last date of registration.

Step 3: Online Choice Filling

• All registered candidates are required to submit their choices of JAC Chandigarh 2025 participating Institute and Branch in order of their preference.
• Candidates are required to submit a single set of combined choices for Engineering & Architecture streams, if they are eligible for both the streams.
• Candidates can fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of preference as they wish to, from the list of available choices.
• Candidates are permitted, if they so desire, to change or re-order their choices, delete earlier choices and add new choices any number of times until they lock their final set of choices.

Step 4: Mock Counseling

• Based on the number of registered candidates who have submitted their choices at any given time, the system will be able to provide an idea of the seat that may be allotted.
• This indicative seat availability ('Mock Counseling') is to help the candidates to finalize the most appropriate choice of seats.
• The final allotment of seats, in the allotment rounds, may be different from the indicative seat availability.

Step 5: Choice Locking

• Candidates must lock their choices only after they have finalized them, but in any case, before the last date & time.
• The locking of choices involves a few steps after the lock button is clicked. This includes re-entering the password and confirming the locking.
• If a candidate fails to explicitly lock the choices by the last date & time, the last saved choices will be automatically locked after the deadline.
• Registered candidates who do not exercise any choices in any of the rounds will not be considered for seat allotment. However, they will be eligible for spot round of counseling after depositing a SPOT Round participation fee of ₹40,000/-
• The candidate can log in again to view the locked choices. However, the locked choices cannot be modified or altered.

Step 6: Seat Allotment

• During JAC Chandigarh 2025 seat allotment step, the choices submitted by the candidates will be processed centrally and seats will be allotted.
• The allotment result will be published on the website and also communicated through SMS to successful candidates.
• Result of JAC Chandigarh 2025 seat allotment will also be accessible after login by the candidate. If a seat is allotted, then Seat Allotment details will be displayed on the screen.

Step 7: Physical Reporting at the Allotted Institute

• All the candidates who have paid the admission fee after seat allotment in the first round or in the second round or in the third round will have to physically report to the final Allotted Institute as per Counseling Schedule
• All JAC Chandigarh 2025 participating institutes will update the Physical Reporting status of the candidates online and the actual number of reported candidates and vacant seats will be displayed for the last Spot Round of Counseling.
• Final vacancy for Spot Round of Counseling will be published on the website before choice filling for Spot Round.

• Click on sign-in to check the seat allotment result.

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Spot Round Counseling

JAC Chandigarh 2025 spot round is also online counseling. The only difference between spot round and other three rounds of counseling is that for participating in spot round of counseling, the candidate is required to pay ₹40,000/- as participation fee before the seat is allotted to him or her. If a seat is allotted, the participation fee will not be refunded. If a seat is not allotted, the participation fee will be fully refunded.

All registered candidates who have paid Registration Fee, irrespective of whether any seat is allotted or not, up to the 3rd round of counseling, are eligible for the spot round of counseling against the available vacant seats and all these candidates are not required to register again for the spot round.

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Counseling Fee Refund

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Counseling Fee is non-refundable. Candidates who had applied for withdrawal of allotted seat as per schedule given in and those who had deposited SPOT Round participation fee of ₹40,000/- but could not be allotted any seat, will be refunded the fee after JAC Chandigarh 2025 spot round of counseling. Requests for withdrawal through e-mail/Phone shall not be entertained during counseling.
