Step 2: Program Selection and Preference Filling

For seat allocation and admission to the desired program, candidates must fill in the combination of program and department/college/center preferences on the CSAS dashboard.

Candidates must select the UG Programs in which he/she has appeared in the CUET examination and is willing to take admission if allocated through CSAS.
Candidates must note that only programs selected during preference filling will be considered for seat allocation.
The candidate must take utmost care while giving the preferences order as it will determine the allocation of seat.
Candidates can reorder the preferences of the selected combinations, if he/she wishes to, before submitting the fees for that particular Program.
Candidates must fill in the maximum number of preferences to increase their chances of getting a seat.
Before submitting, the candidate must ensure that the order of preferences is as per his/her choice. Editing of the preference list after the submission of the form will NOT be allowed.

Step 3: Seat Allocation and Admission

The seat allocation for all courses will be done in multiple rounds. Delhi University will be releasing a Common Merit List. All candidates will be considered in the Common Merit List (CML). The Highest Possible Preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate considering the following criteria:

Program-based merit list.
Social Category (UR/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS).
Availability of seats

Upon declaration of merit list, candidates can check the list by login in to their CSAS dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. Once a seat has been allocated in a particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the Allocated Seat before the last date/time specified for the given allocation round. The provision for acceptance of a particular Allocated Seat will be valid only for the round in which the seat was allocated to the candidate. In case of multiple seat allotment in a particular round, candidates will be allowed to “Accept” and take admission in ONLY ONE allocated seat.

Once the candidate "Accepts" the provisionally Allocated Seat, the concerned Department/ Centre/ College will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.
Upon approval of the seat allotment by the concerned Department/ Centre/ College, candidates will have to pay the admission fee to confirm the admission.

A good college to pursue the bachelors degree

Likes

The college is newly built so the infrastructure is really good compared to other DU colleges
The college offers various sports to participate and have a really big play ground

Dislikes

The college does not offer hostel for boys, it only has girls hostel inside the campus.
Though the college offers gym, it is lacking in some of the gym equipment.

Admission:

My admission in this college was on the basis of CUET examination (Common University Entrence Test), so there was no group discussion round or personnel interview rounds. The college also provides application form for direct admission on its website mac.du.ac.in , it includes every thing relating to admission fess etc. The exams are held in the end of every semester(2 semester per year) and their difficulty is moderate.

The admission process of DU has now changed because now DU take admission based on the score in cuet. cut-off for the general category is generally very high. The process takes too much time and this is just what I don't like about this. Many other things too like if there is too much delay in the admission process it becomes very depressing for the applicants since the results of the admission process take so long that every other college has completed its admission process by the time du complete its admission process because of which students have left no other choice if they haven't filled form for any other colleges or universities and courses which lead to. If the student got the admission in Delhi university it the well and good but if the student is unable to take admission in Delhi University that it can also lead to he spoiling the one whole year of the students and in that case the students become depressed about their future and what should they do of they didn't got it

The first thing which is very impressive of my college is ,they provide free wifi in library ,canteen, classes, auditorium etc
There is huge benefits for the girls because of a girls NCC group , girls hostel and Girls common room in college.

The canteen environment not good , also there is minimum options in the menu.
There is a option of elevator, but this mostly not working .

Now , the new education policy implemented you cannot take admission on merit based. You have to give CUET exam to take admission in Delhi University colleges. Application form and cut-off etc these information you can get by visiting delhi university official website

Unlocking campus life

Sports , Gym , parking Facility , computer labs

Placement assistance in not that much good. That is placements are limited to few courses such as Bcom , BA. No tech background placements are there.
Internship opportunities are limited to few courses

During my admission, the cutoff for this courses was around 85% in 12th class. But know there is cuet entrance exam in which also the cutoff is around 80% . If you are from Delhi and studied 12th from Delhi you will get a good relaxation. The admission process is very well defined by NTA.

Maharaja Agrasen College, DU : An Honest Review

The infrastructure is very impressive, especially the library, and the auditorium are well maintained.
The college has a gym, which is not available in most DU colleges.

The teachers are a bit too much lenient on students, so that early morning classes are cancelled a lot and tests are often postponed.
College administration failed to appoint teachers of many subjects for months.

All (10+2) pass students are eligible to take admission in B.A. (Prog) or (Hons) courses. But, in order to take admission in B.Com. (Hons), students must have a background in commerce, and a science background is required to take admission in B.Sc. Courses. I took admission in 2021, when CUET was not introduced in DU, so I was able to take admission on the basis of class 12th marks. Now, all students have to appear in CUET(Common University Entrance Test), and clear the cutoffs in order to take admission. It provides another chance for those students who did not give their best in class 12 exams.

Maharaja Agrasen College, a great college to boost your skills and practicality for your career.

The infrastructure of Maharaja Agrasen College is really good, we have a huge auditorium, a big ground for almost all the sports
The faculty is highly qualified as well, may it be of Electronics (H) or any other course, the professors are highly approachable and helpful

MAC is around 5kms away from the nearest metro station so one has to take an E-rickshaw if she/he comes through the metro.
Being an off campus college, it serves a disadvantage as college life's not that vibrant or cool with friends because there's no such spot to hang out in.

My admission was when DU used to release the cutoff on the basis of 12th boards but now admission process is through CUET. Eligibility of Electronics (H) is that you should have PCM in 12th and the cutoff of CUET varies according to the number of students and difficulty level. One can visit their website https://mac.du.ac.in to check the application status and cutoffs. Otherwise the forms are common while filling out the CUET(UG) form.

MAC, DU ~ worth it or not

Maharaja Agrasen College is a well established college, under University of Delhi. It is very accessible, 3 metro stations nearby, bus stop at a distance of about 500m ample of options available for travelling.
It has excellent infrastructure, security and other facilities. A 600 seater auditorium, smart classrooms, labs, girls common room, medical aid, a large ground, badminton court, basement parking, table tennis, carrom, chess and other indoor games etc

The washrooms are at times not so clean, but the staff is working on it to avoid such issues.
The college canteen is a little unhygienic.

CUET is the entrance exam for the course. GT+English+Accts/Maths+ Any other domain subject After CUET results are announced, DU CSAS portal opens and candidates need to fill in the form and preference list. The students maybe alloted any of the colleges in the preference list. The student then has two options- to take admission in the college (FREEZE) or to wait for second round for a better college (UPGRADE) MAC, DU is an off campus college and requires a CUET score of about 600-650 for general category and 400+ for Quotas. The portal site hangs a lot, and is very delayed.

Society's in college are pretty active and interactive.
Campus is big in comparison to other colleges in du.

Location and locality is very much disappointing. Also college is far from metro station.
No place to spend your free time around college. Its just residential area and schools.

Quotas are there and the admission process is pretty simple. First, give cuet and fill in this college in preference and if you get enough numbers you will get selected. Admission process is very simple after cuet exams

Placements are not that satisfactory as some didn't even know about

Addmission was through cut off only it was around 85-90 percentage that time I guess , also I have seen some students who get addmission through sports quota as well from basketball and all other sports

My Undergrad - A bittersweet experience

Exposure in the Delhi University circuit of clubs and committees
Has a chapter of the internationally recognized NGO, SPIC MACAY.

As there were very few restrictions regarding attendance, class interactions and discussions were less.
No help with acquiring internships or placements.

During the academic year 2020-21 , when I took admission in MAC, the admission process for BA Programme was based out of clearing specific cutoffs for different combinations of disciplines. The cutoff for my course was 86%. The admission process was pretty smooth. You get the mail of confirmation after the payment.
