I'm from Karbi Anglong, Assam which is very far from my hometown to ihm Shillong, like it's 300km (approx) away from my hometown.so I need to stay at the hostel because I don't have any friends, relatives there. the hostel is quite good.
Hotel room is to be shared by 3 students in one room. Cost of hotel room is 98k per yr food included. The hotel is inside college campus so it is safe for students. Daily cleaning of toilet and public area are provided
We don't have any big ground in over college. We only have a small ground inside hostel which size is equal to volleyball ground. Library is also small side library. Equipment in the lab are good (big equipment) and other equipment we have to bring our own
Hostel infrastructure is quiet well the best thing is the weather that you will love as per the season the students play games and all live unite with a great coordination which makes the students feel home away from home
They are giving this tremendous extra curricular activities like they are conducting lots of workshops for us lots of cultural societies are there student parties are there no tolerance regarding gender ethnicity race religion sexual orientation politics and economic status
As there was not much theory curriculum, we had mane extracurricular activities based on the modules as well as the extra research work. There were non-technical workshops and seminars to motivate us in creating new ideas. I saw almost the same gender ratio with a few diversity of students.
Mostly, students preferred PG rooms for the accommodation rather than the expensive hostel facilities as 98.5k were the charges both for males and females separately in the separate buildings. The second-year fees for the girls were quite less compared to boys. The facilities were acceptable in the charges the institute took from the candidates.
The hostel fees varies according to the year the student is placed in. There is availability of separate hostels for girls and boys but, the hostel fees is slightly expensive that keeps on increasing by each year.
The Institute is completely oriented towards their academics so, the scope to explore extra curricular activities is very low. The Institute wants their students to focus on internships and extracting as much as possible from their course.
The institution is home to a blend of both studies and fun. Keeping in mind the objective, various cultural programmes are organized. sports is an integral part. Along with, fates and fests are also held. Seminars, workshops for the enhancement is an appreciative effort too.
