Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is very organized and was planned, executed to perfection. The curriculum includes all the techniques and skills necessary for my course that were not just taught but, we are made to practice almost every alternate day.
Placement Experience :
Though it's not been long since I have joined the Institute but, I have heard great words about the placement of students. The students get opportunity to work in hotels and cruises for their internship and then, get job letters during placement easily.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees is feasible for the middle and upper section of society. As the program is held only for 18 months, the amount seems feasible. However, for a lower section of society, the amount may seem challenging to pay.
Campus Life :
The Institute is completely oriented towards their academics so, the scope to explore extra curricular activities is very low. The Institute wants their students to focus on internships and extracting as much as possible from their course.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is coming together. I have heard that the Institute has already started on calling their alumnis for a renuion and soon forming an alumni society where individuals from varying batches come together.
Admission :
I applied for the diploma course in bakery and confectionery. I was always interested in cooking from a young age and when I turned 18, I wanted to work and perfect my skills so, I went ahead with IHM, Shillong. The enrollment process only asked for 10+2 passing scores.
Faculty :
The teachers are well experienced. They have been in the hospitality sector for a very long time and now, have retired to teaching. While they would share their own personal experiences, they would be able to tell us tricks to work on our mistakes.
