College review from not so carrer orientation student.

Likes

I like that college gives you opportunity to participate in each and every thing. It encourages you to do more curricular activities but also focus on the classes as there is mandatory 75% attendance required. There are clubs that offer opportunitie.
The faculty is nice and supportive but some are very strict. They teach you well also provide notes online for having more resources to study and helps with exams.
The placement is quite nice. There is class for aptitude from 1st year once a week and in third and fourth year there are dedicated classes regarding placements.

Dislikes

I don’t like the campus much as it is not that big . It is small but manageable as per your fee.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement from 6 semester itself. Companies comes in physical mode from 4th year so the placement is quite nice and difficult. From semester 6 students became eligible to apply for the placement. Companies like Moonprenuer, Infosys visits the college. The highest package is 50 lpa and the average package is 5lpa. 95% students get placed in the campus placement. My plan is to get fashion degree or to apply for job.

Canteen is open from 8 am to 12 am . It is very nice
Hostels are pretty clean and maids comes everyday

Dislikes

Mess food is not nice and no matter how many complains come , they never improve it
Laundry service is not nice. Clothes doesnt get washed or ironed properly

Placement Experience:

After the third year, that is after the end of sixth semester, the students are allowed to sit for placements. The placement rate is average and the average placement is aroind 3 to 4 lpa. The placement drive and preparation classes are helpful

Teacher are good in teaching and always helps whenever you need

Course Curriculum Overview:

Courses are good like human values and communication skills improve the communication. Sometimes the course didn't complete by the faculty then they send pdf to complete the course. The course mainly complete before 2 or 3 days of mid term. Exams are hard and college give 2 hours to complete 60 marks question paper

Reality of poornima college of engineering

The seniors here are helpful and supportive. When you need notes they will try to provide and when you want any advice they are there to give advice according to their knowledge.
I think the study here is good because here we have supportive faculty and they teach us very nicely
Hostel rooms for freshers are very good and the facilities provided like laundry .

Dislikes

The food provided by mess is of very poor quality. They don't maintain hygeine too.
The gender ratio here is very bad as it consists of only 10 girls in 60 students.
The sports facilities are very poor. We don't have any grounds. There is just a basketball court here, if you want to play any other sports then this college isn't for you.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average here mostly students who are placed get 3-4 lpa as a fresher and very low amount of students get above 10 lpa package placement here is average and students who are unplaced here are nearly 40-45 percent

Campus is very small and sports facilities are limied
Faculties are a bit strict about academics
Gender ration is not good as in my class out of 60 students there are only 10 girls

Life At PCE

Likes

The college is very affordable in today's inflation, where normally private colleges charge around 25 lakhs for the entire B. Tech course.
The faculty is extremely experienced and understanding. Concepts are cleared effectively and one to one communication is maintained for better results.
The college provides amazing infrastructure with up to date technology and labs.

Dislikes

The classes don't have air conditioning facilities which make it a bit tough to tolerate heat in the summers
More scholarship schemes should be available for the students especially schemes for girls.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for camous placements from Year 3. Companies like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Erikson visit the campus for placements. The highest package is around 45-50 lakhs. The average packagr is 4-5 lakhs. 89% students got placed in the last academic session. My plans are of pursuing entrepreneurship after getting my degree.
